I've watched a depressing movie.

I've watched a movie last Sunday. It was "Blue Valentine." This movie is a bit depressing. When we marry, we have an oath or promise that we should stay with our spouses for better or worse. Can we still stay in the marriage if our partners are at their worse? I watched it alone and I didn't recommend it to my husband. LOL. Have you watched this movie already? If yes, feel free to share your thoughts about this. If not, would you dare to watch it? Feel free to share your thoughts everyone. Happy mylotting.

Ooops, I'm already late to reply. LOL. Yes, it stars Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams. I guess it's an independent movie. It's a 2010 movie. I just let my husband downloaded it about three months ago and I just had the time to watch it alone while my son was playing with his cousins and my husband was planting something last Sunday afternoon. LOL. I guess it's worth watching but I hope the ending isn't that bad. Have time to watch it rafiholmes. Thanks kitmurphy.

The movie isn't new, it is an independent film that was put out by the Weinstein Company in late 2010. The film stars Michele Williams and Ryan Gosling and it is set around the blossoming and corruption of a relationship. Yes, it is not a light hearted film and can be seen as depressing but it is a good film to see what some relationship can turn into.

I watched this movie before but I hardly understood it. It is not so impressive for me. It is somewhat a boring movie to me, too. This kind of movie made me yawn

Yes I was also a bit bored to watch the first part but when I continued watching it, I found it fine. I was a bit intrigued of the story. It's depressing but I'm not that depressed. I can handle my emotions when I watch a movie. I cry when I want to cry. I always go for the life lesson I can gain in each movie I watch. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

thanks for the heads up. I'll steer away from this movie in case i come across it. There are so many inspiring and fun movies. I'd rather watch them than depressing ones.

Oh yes, it's depressing but I've learned something. LOL. After watching it, I was a bit speechless. There were many things popping in my mind. I guess, it's lacking. What provoke the man to be at his worse? Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

I always steer away from movies that are too dark and depressing. I watch movies to entertain myself, not make myself feel down in the dumps after watching it. LOL I have heard about Blue Valentine being a dark drama so therefore, it didn't make it to my "to watch" list. Whatever makes me depressed certainly can't be good for me. ;)

For me it's fine watching this. It made me realize that every relationship can turn our bad if we aren't going to take care of it. Understanding each other plays a big role in a relationship.

I saw the movie when it came out and I like it for the acting and storytelling aspects. I also wanted to see it for the reason that there had been a controversy about the film getting a NC-17 rating that was later overturned without the film being reedited at all. Now if you want to steer clear of a really depressing movie do not see Melancholia. I liked it for its visuals but when it gets to the end you are not sure what to do with yourself.

I asked my husband to download this movie three months ago. I guess the movie was 2 year old already. By watching this I've learned that we have to face life's challenges. If possible, we should stay with our beloved ones even if they are at their worse. I guess by having divorce in our law, many couples will no longer try to save their marriages. That's sad.
