Will you intend to stay forever on mylot or you could disappear.

Hi all! I am here on mylot for many years. Over the years I've come across many mylotters who vowed or claimed that they love this site and would continue to be here forever or as long as possible. However, during my tenure here I've seen many mylotters simply vanishing from the board and they are not seen again. Despite tall claims and promises, many lotters fail to continue on mylot and over a period of time they disappear for the reasons best known to them. Besides other reasons, one of the main reasons could be - their off-line pressing commitments, which keep them away from mylot. On the other hand, there are many lotters in my friends' list or otherwise who take a temporary break and return, as per their convenience. My discussion is intended towards newbies and newcomers and I would like to know from them - how loyal will you be to this site and if you really enjoy this site, will you stay here forever? Others are also welcome to share their views. Have a great day!

Deepak,I am not a newbie but would like to add my two bit here... I was introduced to this site by a member who was also active on other sites where I was posting.I came here and was inactive for a few months in the beginning because I got busy elsewhere. When I got back I was told by common friends that my referee had been banned from here.I have been here and will continue to be here as long as I am using the net unless one fine day I get banned ...just joking I dont see the possibility of that, so will continue to be here ..mylot has become an integral part of my life now

I did not know the background, which you narrated in your response. Don't worry, you are not going to be banned. Have a great day!

You are pretty older on this site. However, your profile shows you are 4 years old on mylot, while my profile shows that am 6 years older here, so you joined after me. I intend to stay here as long as possible.

I joined mylot in 2007 when some member from an article writing site recommended mylot to me and I think I became friendly with kala soon after and then I came to know others including you ....This has always been a rock steady site and I have learnt a lot of things from here from various members ...

hello dpk, I once bid goodbye to this site, but still here I am replying to your topic. I can't say I will be here forever, but who knows. Maybe , if, the moment you won't see me participating here anymore, by that time you may say that "jaiho is gone"

hey Deepak, was it directed towards me. :) See i am back and I am responding to your discussions as i find them very appealing as always. I agree with you when you mention about other commitments . From what i understand about the people who leave mylot early is that they expect a lot from mylot, however mylot is a site to share experiences and get different exposures and to top it all , earn a little bit as a motivation. People who want a lot of money would for sure change gears and look for other mediums to earn more money. Those who have been here for long have there expectations set and quite contend with that. few come back after a break to meet up with their friends like you and make mylot a success.

Hi Shweta! It was a general discussion not directed towards anyone specifically (that includes you). Nice to see you on board after a gap of few months. Yes, you are very right that some mylotters expect a lot from this site and want to get rich in no time. When they find that it requires lots of time and patience and some writing skills to stay here, they just give up and see for other easier options to earn. We get to share a lot on this site and some invaluable suggestions come our way when we post a topic (e.g. you contributed meaningfully in my post regarding 'snoring). I am here since I joined this site and did not disappear at any time from this site. Thanks for appreciating the discussions and enriching it with your thoughts.

I have recently been a lot less active than I have ever intended to be. Some of it is pressing commitments, but some of it is the glitches here too. I know there are a lot of people that I used to know here that I couldn't imagine them leaving that have now gone. I do wonder about them and how they are doing.

Hi dpk! I guess I'm not a newbie anymore . . . hard to believe I've been here for "years" now. If I really really like a site, I stick to it - and that's actually rare. Recently I have decided to cut off most of the earning sites I go to (I finally got to payout and then wanted to stop there) . . . for some reason I don't think it's worth my time to go there anymore. But myLot is still on my list - and I intend to be here as long as I can. This place is different . . . I can be someone here and my heart and brain can be shared here (that's what locks me in - the interaction with you myLot folks!). I have a personal attachment here - not just for earnings. The other sites - it's just for earnings - and well, it's not too fun anymore. Yes, life can take over . . . I've had to drop my time here (computer time period) for various reasons . . . but I think I will continue to come to myLot "forever" - or at least as long as I am able (and as long as myLot will stay too!).

Hi much2say! I know that you are a veteran here and not a newbie. It is nice to hear that you have decided to reduce your time on other sites, where you log in for the sake of 'earnings'. I agree with you that mylot is different and like you I also have a personal attachment with mylot. Yes, it is true that you can pour your heart out in the discussions and could gain from responses by others. Your statement made me happy and it is quite assuring - "I think I will continue to come to myLot "forever" - or at least as long as I am able to" Many thanks for sharing and joining as. One of the best responses so far. dpk PS - Did you check your best responses?

Hi dpk I have been here for a while now and in this short time, I have had interest and also days when I had lost interest and again, there have been days when I couldnt get in for so many reasons... I dont want to delete the account and would keep coming in now and then but I need discussions - good ones where I can respond. Of late such discussions are getting rare and again many of my friends here have gone missing... so - fun to me at mylot is on the decline...

Hi thesids! I know by now you are a veteran here you keep appearing and disappearing. When you appear you make your presence felt to others and that is commendable. I also find that good discussions are hard to find now a days and many seasoned mylotters are not on the board. Anyway let us continue, as long as we can. Thanks for sharing and joining us. Have a great day!

Hello dpk, I really don't know. but as long as i like to stay, i will stay. I have loved this site and the people I have met here as well. plus, I do earn here while having fun and learning. so, why would I leave? Unless there are opportunities for me offline which will forbid me not to be online. I can leave anytime, but the fact that I am enjoying here and the people here I can't see elsewhere is at stake. I can always come back, if ever i do leave. but not to a point i can give up mylot forever... that would be sad...

Hi annavi! I appreciate your intention that as long as you could stay here, you would love to stay here because you have met nice people here and participating in discussions helps you earn also. You could come and go at your convenience, it is acceptable (no need to give it up forever). Thanks for sharing.

yeah, i bet you really loved this site that's why you have big number beside your name and it shows you are one of the legends or seniors here who is somehow helping newbies around. Well, i hope i can stay forever and also gain good friends as well. It's fun and wonderful thing to happen that we can be able to share all our feelings and views and opinions about anything and most people will understand what we are going through. Some would use mylot as their daily diary cause they get to jot down all what is happening to them in real world. which is somehow interesting cause most of us do experience such and if not, we can be informed on things happening with others.

I don't intend to stay here for long, much less forever. Although I like the community because I can connect and share ideas with many people. Still my main purpose online is to earn passive income. Earning potential of mylot is very low. What you earn here is just cents. That is the reality and we must accept that.

Yes. My priority is earning money, as we all need to survive. I enjoy the community in this platform, and I obtained lots of useful information here for my article writing work. Still we need to eat three times a day. I'm just a practical person.

So far I manage to stay here continuously since I joined in the beginning of the year. I do intend to stay unless something happen beyond my control that make me disappear. In my relatively short term here, I also notice what you are saying... I have some friends who seem to be fellow myLot addicts in the beginning, but now I do not see them actively around here anymore... I wish them well and perhaps one day I'll see them here again as I also notice some members come back after as long as 5 years of absence from myLot...

Hi sis! Your intention seems very noble and great. Hope you are able to fulfill your promise. As you said, over a period of time I have seen many great mylotters and very good friends disappearing from the site and creating a kind of void. It was great fun to read their responses and comments. May be they are earning through other means. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with you... I also spent too much time here on the beginning... And I did not even do much posting; sometimes I realized I was just reading discussions for hours back then. But now that I have pretty much explored as much as I could about the site, I have a structured time in mind and ways on how I want to go about doing things here.

I think there might be a danger of burn out on this site. I'm fairly new and already I know I'm spending too much time on it. If I am going to stay the course, if not forever at least for a long while, I shall have to discipline myself so that my commitments are met, I get some exercise and remember to get the dinner ready on time for my longsuffering husband.

Hi my dear friend! I'm still here too! I am one that made the promise and although sometimes Life, and Health issues, as in my case do get in the way, I still try to make an appearance so that my friends that care know I'm still "breathing". In fact, one of may sweet and adorable friends, "Katsmeow", who I love dearly started a discussion about me because I "disappeared" for awhile! I was so flattered that anyone cared and actually noticed! I love this place and the "special friends" that I have made here over the past five years! I am not as active as I was in the first few years, but I still love coming here to make new friends too!Nice to see you "old friend"
