Hi everyone.
It is 19 September and after 4 days on 24 September, i am getting married. I think all of you are wondered getting me on mylot. Hmmm.. you know, it is continuous raining from days and still now, it is also raining. Yesterday, it was a sunny day and we hoped that the weather has changed but yes changed and with rain again.
The decoration party is unable to decorate the hall as the marriage will be celebrated on my yard. So, it should be covered with aluminum roofs. I need to buy all those items for the dinner and lunch, but heavy and continuous rain is the main obstacle here. I am a little frustrate now.
Well, just wished to know your thoughts just days prior to your marriage. My thought is "when the sky will shine with the sun and everyone will be busy with joy and enthusiasm ?". Share your views.

Maybe u should replacethe location to Indonesia. .Lol
here the sun still shine hotly
There is a `pawang hujan` here when someone want to celebrate marriage. Pawang hujan is a person who have ability to move rain to other place like sea or mountain so the ceremonial can go smoothly

Welcome to club shibham. You have few more days to enjoy your bachelorhood and you'll be signing on the dotted lines to shoulder a heavy responsibility as a husband and soon a father. Prior to my wedding I had mixed feelings of happiness and sadness. Sad because I have to face the untested married life and most of all I have to relinquish the carefree life that I so cherish.
Congratulation and hope you have a blessed marriage.

Thanks you Zandi for your invitation.
Hmmm... dont make me frightened dear, already my brain is loaded with thoughts. Mine is also the same, a mixup of feelings. Thinking a lot about the responsibility and a girl who was unknown to me months ago. Happy coz there is someone to share my feelings.
Thanks again and have a nice time.

Hi Shibham,
Before giving my wishes to you, let me ask, today is September 19, and you are getting marry on 24, where is the invitation card for us. How you forget to invite us.
When you fix the date on monsoon season, rain will be there dear.
My hubby’s brother’s daughter marriage was on September 2, and you know there was heavy rain Kerala too, and almost 1500 people invited, but everything was arranged in greatly to avoid the inconvenience, giving the decorations and other works to specially talented people. Fortunately there was no rain on the day time on the marriage day.
I can understand the frustration since you have to do everything by your own. Why could not arranged a hall, as it is rainy season? Hope the nature will understand your worries and co-operate with you.
Best of luck. Wishing you a Happy and prosperous marriage life in advance.

No sree, the date is fixed according to astrology though i done believe all these but respect my parent's choice.
Just hours ago, i have seen the sun for a moment after days and do hope that it will be continue. I did not thought that the rain will not stop as the monsoon is not here at this season. So did not seek a hall as i sought on my sister's marriage.
Have a nice time and thanks a lot for your warm wishes.

We are lucky the weather that time was with us. No sign for rain coming. The only thing I was not comfortable, due to inconsistency of some preparations. Aside from that I my mother was not their, she passed 3 years ago. She wish to attend my wedding. I felt bad and wondering, how I wish she's there. My tears start to fall down.

If it is then you are really lucky as i am tensed here. It is really mournful that your mom passed away just three years ago as she wished to see your marriage. I can understand your condition. She watched your wedding from the heaven, dont worry.
have a nice time.

Mine was an arranged marriage. The girl was selected by my mother who is no more with us.They had sent a photograph of the girl requesting my mother to show it to me.I saw the photo. She was really beautiful.I had a desire to keep the photo with me,but I kept silent due to my shyness. My mother kept it with her in her suitcase. After that whenever my mother was somewhere in the house talking to someone else,I would take out the photo from her suitcase, watch it with affection, kiss it and keep it in its place.I was so excited that I can't tell you about it.I was very eagerly waiting for the day I would get married.

Hi else...
My story is same to you but here i kept the photo on my bag and mom asked when she needed to show it to others.
But friend, is not it risky to marry an unknown girl? Is it possible to understand the girl fully till the marriage date? I am confused here.
Anyway, have a nice time.

Marrying an unknown girl is risky.I agree with you, dear. But love marriages are not risk free either. If you love a girl, you feel she is perfect. But when you marry her,you come nearer to each other and then things become clearer. Both of you come to know about each other's negative points that you must have never expected to be in each other. This is followed by a disillusionment. There is a world of differences between love life and married life.Things that are invisible in love life turn clearly visible when we get married.
Making married life happy and pleasant is an art, dear.Marriage is a serious business, dear. It needs a mature mindset to make it happy.
I wish you an exceptionally happy married life.

Was there a reason behind choosing that particular date? I know that the rainy season there should be over soon. Choosing a September date there would be like choosing a January or February one here--except we would possibly have to contend with snow and ice, which would make things a bit more difficult than downpours of rain do.
Hopefully, you do get a beautiful day for the ceremony.

No, here we dont celebrate marriage on a particular date/day. Once both parties find the date as convenient, then it is fixed and thus, mine was fixed too. Yes, today morning, it was a sunny day for a while and i do hope it will be the same on coming days too. January/february is fine but i had some problems in arranging on that month.
Thanks for your wishes and have a nice time.

Hello there mylotter, first of all Congratulations on your wedding my dear friend. You should not feel frustrated if your wedding day rains. Because it is a "blessing" when a wedding day rains. Rain and not typhoon !Lol! I too got married 16 years ago, and i still remember that during my wedding day, it really rain.. Old folks told me that if your wedding day rains it means a lot of blessing. And i believed that because having a responsible, understanding husband, loving and kind children are a blessing that God gave to me. I got married 20th september and still blessing pours... God bless.

Thanks nemrac.
Well, i can accept it as blessing but heavy rain has already devastated the function, to some extend. This is making me upset a lot.
If i will be happy with her like you, then obviously i will consider it as a blessing. Anyway, be lated wedding anniversary and have a nice time.

I am aware of it, and i have saved a copy of the invitation card that you shared in face book
One thing i tell you, if you have licked out completely, any sweets served in green leaf during your early days, then rain is sure during the marriage feast, i am not scaring you
BEST OF LUCK AND WISH YOU A HAPPY MARRIED LIFE

I not get this chance to feel some before marriage because my marriage is performed with in 10 days. No time for thinking anything only shopping and preparation. I not think anything about my husband or my family members because full time busy in shopping and preparation. We have only 10 days and I think 10 days not sufficient for preparation.

few days before our wedding i can't remember me being worried with anything. may be it hasn't sink in on me what will happen on the big day. maybe because i was still busy with checking every supplies we needed.
i understand how you feel having a wedding on rainy days and celebrating it outdoor. that must be a risky one but i do hope that the sun will shine. anyway raindrops are a sign of blessing but hopefully it wont pour much.
congratulations in advance. have a sunny wedding day!

Hi
Now i have that satisfaction thinking that rain has come as blessings of god. Well, today noon, the sun showed his face but now... in this evening, again rain drops. It is very hard to predict whether rain will stop or not? Will i be able to rejoice my wedding on a sunny day. Anyway, hoping for the best.
have a nice time.

Congrats on your wedding As long as the two of you get to make you life long promise with your vows in front of God then everything will be great! I am sure everything will work out.Is there a possible way of moving the celebration indoors?

I hope everything goes as you wish it to. It is one of the most important days of your life. You are learning one part of marriage right now--that is, you must overcome adversity with your eyes on your goals together.
My thoughts a few days before my wedding were rather full of panic. Once we made the decision I began to think of all the big changes in store for us both. I was happy, of course, because I was madly in love with him but it was also such a big change in my life that I was scared, too.
I hope it all comes together in a good way on your wedding day! Will you be sharing a wedding picture with us?

Hi dragon.
Just today, after a long waiting, the sun has shown his face but it is too late to make the celebration dry. But if it continues then it will be convenient to guests and shop.
I am also a little sacred just prior to my marriage as i am going to open my second innings of my life. But do hope that everything will run according to my happiness and joy.
thanks for your wishes and sure, i will share wedding pictures here in mylot for all of you.
have a nice time.

I have heard of a lot of people wondering whether they are making the right decision in the couple of days leading up to their marriage. I would always say that if you're not sure if he is right for you, then you're certainly making the wrong choice, because you shouldn't even have to be thinking about it. If you're comfortable with your decision, and you're looking forward to the wedding, then a much better thing to think about would be whether the weather would be okay, and whether the photographs would turn out looking good for you.

Hi shibham,
Why thinking so much? Cover your yard and hire two/three cooks - in one portion you can orgnaise the stage for wedding and in one corner let them party......
Hope your worries will be wash away before the d day....
enjoy and have a great time.
Congrats once again..
