Lately when I go out to eat I enjoy eating at locally run establishments more than chain stores. I know it may sound like an ad but you do really feel like you are giving back to the community rather than some one else. The great thing about my city is that there is so much to choose from that sometimes I often am overwhelmed as well.
Do you think about stuff like then when you go out to eat or is another food minded more important to you?

It's exciting to try different kinds of food. It would be boring if you eat the same food when you eat out. I also love to eat in restaurants than in chain stores that offer just the same kinds of food from day to day. I also like to try international cuisine. I think it gives me real excitement when trying a dish for the first time.

That's the kind of thing I am talking about. Chain stores sometimes turn me off now because you know it is going to be the same thing over and over. There is not much variety and you can probably find the same thing in a different chain store and not know the difference. International cuisine is delicious and full of flavor. I like the picture you added. I am curious what it is. May be it is something I can find in a restaurant near me if it is a Japanese, Chinese or Vietnamese dish.

I like to eat local but mostly my own local food. i found it so hard to adjust to this food here in India. when I had first come to India, I ate something that gave me food allergy and my body was swollen and red. Now even in Goa after 2 years, now I have started to eat the local food. From last week. So it was hard to adjust because my food at home is totally different from the food here. When away from home i would more eat from fast foods. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

Wow that is cool that you are in India but it sucks that you got a food allergy the first time that you tried something. It is good though that you gave it another try. Hope everything stays well with you.

I like going to the local privately owned places as well, unfortunately there are not that many around here, most of the restaurants are some sort of chain. There were a couple of privately owned places I really liked but they both closed down about the same time. One was a little Creperie that had these amazing shrimp crepes in a bashemel sauce, I really miss those crepes.
