"Why do we need to work hard?" It is simply because, to earn money. I hope, we have the same aim. The possession of paycheck will be in safe keeping through your bank account. " Would you agree?" On the contrary, "Is it easy to spend the money?" Living in a luxurious life, you will never think of overspending as a problem. For some, they will took the initiative to cut off their budgets, in terms of sustaining their basic needs. If they wanted to purchase something, the course of action is to sleep on it first. In short, they can not afford to skyrocket their obligations. They need to live in a modest life. What is / are your points of view on this?

It is really hard to make money but really easy to spend it, for most they are lucky if they even make enough to pay their needed bills, like shelter, food, clothing, and transportation, much less any extras.

I do feel a bit of guilt when I spent money on some waste things. there are lot man people who find it hard to meet their ends. They struggle in life and live on meager amount of money. Since we do have enough bit of money, we have a tendency to spend it lavishly.

Hi Shavkat, I agree with your views, it is very difficult to earn money but is very easy spend money.Unless we take care our expenditures can go overboard, so it is better to plan and then only spend.Once put away some for your future use, you can go ahead and spend what is left, after all money is for spending - but with caution ! All the best and have a great day

I think the habit of having credit card really pampers your expenditure plans.Till recently i didnt have any credit cards and life seemed to be moving well. But 3 months back i got one and I find hard to manage the expenditure. The problem is you can swipe it anywhere ans buy a thing. But at the end of the month you get the bill and you stand shocked.

It's really easy to spend the money. It would only stay for a while in your wallet and then you will just realize that it's all gone not having a single hint that it's all gone. Anyway, that's how it is. As long as you have enjoyed using your money then it's all worth it.

Hardwork tastes sweeter when your spend money for a worth cause, be it personal or social. that is the difference between hard earned money and free money. free money you have no value and you will not value the things that you get it with that money. but in case of hard earned money, every penny spent would be duly valued.

It is obvious tome that is is way easier to spend money then to make money. Its like a bank account, where you ear a small amount of interest, but when you take a loan, they charge you tons of interest. If you're a rich person and money is no object, then live your life as you like. But for the masses, we must budget our money and provide the needed things to sustain us on a daily basis. Then is we save enough to buy that special something, then thats fine.

The problem is everyone knows the importance of savings and investment, but very few follow it. this is the case with bachelors especially. they do have a carefree life and spend on whatever they find. Later when they get married they sob over what they had done. but it is useless to cry later.

I have never cried over what I spent when I was young and single. I have no regrets in that department. What does bother me is all the years I worked, when my wife left, she took everything. That to me is more upsetting then what I did when I was younger. So the way I see it, marriage is where you lose money.

I think the trend of spending and saving differs from culture to culture or country to country. people in India are more concerned about saving than spending. in many households, you can see people would live hungry, but wont spend, instead deposit them in the bank.

Spending money is like pouring water into sand. You find it hard to hold in your hand, but it can disappear within no time. Once it is gone, you cant get it back easily.

It's quite difficult to earn money so we need to be wise in spending it. When you want to buy something, yes it is better if we consider the price, the quality, etc. We aren't earning money for nothing. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

I dont know about you place, but in my place consumer expenditure seems to be increasing day by day. the point is people are ready to pay money like anything that even restaurant bills have doubled in two years. its not great these even to have food from outside due to the high costs. So one step that i have done is i cook food at my room. Luckily i am saving some money because of that.

Of course, it is easier to spend money if we have it.
I understand that hard earned money are not that easy to spend with.
When you worked hard for it, you will never spend it for nonsense things.
That is why people who worked so hard - they know how to managed their money compared to those people who earned money in easy ways.

i think its hard to earn money^^ it takes a lot of hard work to earn it. but to spend it its so easy. its just you keep it in your pockets and go out and see cute things. and you feel the temptation to spend it. i guess for hardworkers is not so easy to spend money like for rich ones. cause for rich they dont need to worry so much about spend it. but for someone poor it is a big deal if you spend it all. i just wish everyone could be comfortable about money. so we all could have a good life.

If you have become rich the hard way, you would still think before spending some bucks. thats the natural tendency because you have out enough toil to earn it. But if its that you have won a lottery, you wont be much bothered. but whatever it is i would always suggest to spend money with caution.

I have a VERY hard time spending money even when we do have it. I feel so incredibly guilty. I always think what if something happens tomorrow where it is all gone and I just spent this money? It scares me... If it is food or something like that I know we have to eat so that's different but anything else I feel bad spending money. I love to save money, just in case something happens it is there. I am so worried about losing money and never being able to have anything that I rarely ever enjoy what we have now.

I would say that is a very good habit that you have got. Saving mentality always helps you in need. Its right that you shouldnt be stingy, but you shouldnt be a spendthrift also. Spend money only on essential things.

Some people work hard not for the money, but, to achieve a goal they want.
If someone loves what he does, the money will not be his motivation for the hard work.
About spending and earning, it is all a function of our expectations: if we expect to earn money to pay for something, we need to find a way how to earn and save the money. When we have enough, we can spend it.
I made a table with my expenses and my earnings and it looks like a lot of money just goes away for necessary things like: food, gas, vet for the dog, fix the car...Those all are important things and it come to about 250$ a month.
I can keep my money for weeks, not spending a single coin on candy or going out.
It is not enough though. It requires a steady income to live.

There do exist people who think above money. money is not their ultimate goal. Some successful entrepreneurs struck jackpot while acheiving their dreams. they didnt run back of money. they thought above it but money came running to them.

I think probably you are yet to start earning. once you have your own job and start getting salary, you wont have the heart to spend money as you like. Even during my college days, i wasnt much bothered since it was not from my earning. but once when i started earning, I became a bit more careful.

It is easier to spend money than to earn money. We work hard to make enough money to support our life. If we spend money wisely without getting something unnecessary, we can save some more money for something we desire to have. I don't live a luxurious life as I have a family to support, so I have been working hard to make some more. To save more money, we love to do shopping online as they are much cheaper than those in shops. Thanks for the discussion. Take care.

I think that is the point people should keep in ind. You have to spend money for a better life. But spend it timely and wisely. instead of buying all jun k and costly item. Prioritize your spendings and you will end up with handsome savings.

My experience was that over the years in over 3 different companies, my salary had increased progressively. I now earn thrice than what I earned in my first job. But over the years, I felt like the more I earn, the more the price is also going up and there seems to be new things coming up that should be included in the budget. Really tough call.

It would be indeed a really tough call. With increasing income, what used to be your luxury then becomes a necessity. This is because you can afford it with your salary. this is a mentality everyone has and unfortunately we all fall prey to it.

We do need to live within our budgets, but getting credit is so easy we sometimes forget it has to be paid back. Even governments seem to forget that point and pass the responsibility on to future citizens causing hardships on them.

I think you just spoke for many out there. To spend money, its like you dont need a license. Just get into a shopping market and take 2 hours, you would just vanish all your credit card balances. But to earn that much money, it would take atleast two months.

I admit that I easily get attracted to "Sale" items. So,sometimes the money that I earned which is supposed to be in the savings account disappears in a blink of an eye when I see an item on sale. Now that I am married, I try my best to save more than spend.

I would prefer you take some resolution not to go out for shopping on atleast two weekends. When we get into a shop, somehow we will end up buying things. Its hard to resist because of the marketing strategy and all. So I usually go out for shopping only once in a month at max.

You know there were days when i used to sit inside my house rather than going out. the problem is you just roam around your pocket gets burned. You would buy things that are actually not required, but just out of compulsion, you buy them.
