I just learned that you can keep your pet with you to the plane. This service is provided by Deutsche Lufthansa AG. As long as the cage and your pet is no more than 8KG, then it is fine for you to carry it to the plane. How nice it is! So the pets will not feel so lonely in the luggage zone.

Some airlines allow it but mostly animals are keep away from the passengers area. It's because they will disturbed the passengers especially if they have health problem.
If the pet keep silent and very obedient, I think better to keep the pet beside the owner.

Some airline allow it and the other don't.
They consider the other passenger that might have an allergic to pet's fur / aroma.
It's good to hear Lufthansa allow it. I thought European airlines are strict on regulations.
Cheers!

Wow that is practically unheard of surely? But what about quarantine laws and rabies? Most countries you fly to have quarantine laws that your pet has to go through before it can enter the country? I certainly wouldn't want to fly with animals on board, what if they got loose, or had 'accident's or any other misadventure? I take it they will not be able to get out of their cage? But even then I would find it sad for animals to be in cages for that length of time? Not sure about the idea myself!

Hi youless, this's really a great news for passengers who travel with their pets as they could stay along with their favorite respective pets all the way. Yeah, it's uneasy the pet is placed in quarantine, especially if it's a long distance journey. Further more it would be more pleasure for the passenger to have fun with the lovely pet. Seems that pet with weight over 8KG still have to be in quarantine.
Happy posting
