c-section

I just saw the doctor yesterday for a checkup. I am 30 weeks pregnant and the ultrasound showed I have low lying placenta which means I could be a candidate for C-section delivery. Have to redo the ultrasound after 2 weeks to see if there would be any changes. Otherwise, it would be C-section for me. This would be my second child but the first time I gave birth, it was normal delivery. It's kinda scary because I don't know what to expect this time. What's it like to go through C-section delivery? Is it really that painful and would it be hard to recuperate after giving birth? Thanks in advance to all your responses. :)

Well my first delivery was normal.Though the baby was in breach position she came around during the time she was suppose to as a good kiddo.Things during these months change so fast that you really cannot just stick to one opinion.I have seen people do equally well after c section.it really depends on your doctor so choose someone wisely. You do need time with the stitches and all but all comes around nicely.Dont be tense cause that is one thing that will make you so stupid things. So face it lakhs of c sections are done through out the world everyday.Just be positive talk loads to your kid, read all THE info you can get hold of and ask any questions you have in your mind to doctors and never shy from taking a second opinion. You will be just fine-and do let us know how things are coming along. All the very best to you and your baby.

Thanks! Though I started to become really worried, I keep reminding myself to stay positive. I guess what added to my worry is the part where c-section delivery here in the Philippines is quite expensive. Since I gave birth via normal delivery the first time, I thought it would be the same the next time. Didn't expect that there could be complications. I hope all goes well for me and my baby. Appreciate your response. Thanks! :)
