Dear friends Mylotters.
I write this review, since I wonder and speaking in the first person of myself, that my life would be happier if I had not the possibility to dream during the night.
I say this because often risk making strange dreams, or indeed in nightmares.
Agree that all in all, dreams are only dreams, they have no value!
But a person like me, with a certain condition of a mental disorder, of course these bad dreams to me complicate even further the state of my health.
Would that it were possible to avoid dreaming!
Unfortunately is impossible to avoid it!

thanks for the information. it's good to get my facts straight. anyway, the dresm and iq connection was just something that i heard from a friend's friend who told it to another friend. none of them are psychologists though. so i'll take your explanation as the most factual one. (too lazy to research)

Well, maybe I can call myself intelligent enough, however I do not think to have a very high IQ.
I never knew if there was a link between what you dream, what we remember and its own IQ.
However, the fact remains that doing bad dreams almost every night, it is not nice at all.
Anyway as I said in my discussion, dreams remain such, are not reality!

Thank you 3honor for your comment, I could have got an inferiority complex over my IQ rating because I almost never remember dreams but I have a friend who remembers every detail and she is very intelligent. There is something here on sale called a 'dream catcher', I think it is a native American tradition, all feathers and netting. It is supposed to stop bad dreams ddaguno. I doubt that it works though but if you think it does it just might...

I think that it is impossible to avoid the dream, but we still can do something to make us have less dreams in a certain periods,if we have less stress and do exercise regularly, then we will have less dreams and less nightmares,so I think always keep in a happy mood is very important, relax and release your stress, then may help more or less.

Well, the famous saying "healthy mind in a healthy body" is still valid. I, however, am psychologically distressed and, as I said in previous comments, I have the distinct impression that these nightmares are due to my precarious mental and physical condition that I am living.
We hope everything goes by, and resolve things that are not going well at the moment, in the best way.

I have read somewhere that the moment a person sleeps he begins to dreams several times.
The only way for you to think that you didn't have a dream is if you don't remember any. Most people who are too tired and are in a very deep sleep could not remember their dreams.

Well, I must say that even I, when I dream, good or bad that they are, I remember them only for a few moments after I wake up.

Well, you must excuse my opinion contradictory, but I do not believe in premonitory dreams, nor will the fact that they are a vision of our future!
If anything, while we sleep, our brain processes, in a totally abstrac manner, moments of life good or bad, already lived.

Well, my dear, your comment is too short and not very clarifying your opinion. I beg you next time, say a few words more inherently subject matter.

I get haunted by my nightmarish dreams nearly every night. It is not a fun thing to experience, and I can sympathize with you. Sometimes it almost seems I am incapable of having a normal dream, or a good dream. But when you begin to study your dreams and learn more about them, and ultimately yourself, you will have a much better understanding of things, and not feel so threatened by your dreams. Your eyes, and your mind, will be opened to a whole new world, it will seem. Just research about it. Dreams, your conscious, etc. The more you learn, the better you'll feel, and the more you'll appreciate in life. I still have nightmares, and sometimes I am too scared to sleep, and will stay up all night to avoid those dreams, but the more I self reflect and try to learn, the better understanding I have. And when you can understand something, you don't feel as threatened by it.
Try looking up lucid dreaming. It is possible, and something I used to practice (and have been thinking about getting back into again). It might not make you have better dreams, but it gives you more control of your dreams. Just look it up.

Well, I think I understood from your comment that, although, unfortunately, you are haunted by nightmares, such as you sometimes stay awake, after all see the classic "light deep in the tunnel." That it is the hope for all of us?

alberello;
I empathise with you. Dreams are good. A few dreams make us feel as if we have not had a sleep for a long time and make us long for more sleep and make the next day a tired one.
I am sorry for your mental health and am sure you are under medical care. Basically it is a lack of job opportunities that is the cause of mental worries and bad mental state.
You are good to an extent you keep yourself busy online and forget the mental problems.
I also wish that there are only happy dreams, dreams that will not make us feel tired. Added to that if we have a lot of physical work -- like going here and there the we may get good sleep with no dreams or less dreams.
In case we want to have dreamless sleep -- we can pray sincerely for five minutes before going to bed. it helps. In Hindu mythology there are slokas to avoid getting "bad dreams" (thurswapna).
I know you are not a Hindu. But please see this link, whether it helps with some changes to suit your requirements:

(These are not my blog sites and are not for canvassing but to inform others)
There must be similar slokas made by christian also. (I think you are a christian)

Dear friend,
We thank you in advance for charging of optimism that thou hast been able to pass, I tell you also that your theory is more than correct.
The problems with family members, financial problems, lack of work and much more, they bring me stress in life.
The bad dreams can therefore be no doubt resulting from this unpleasant situation that I'm currently spending.
Thanks for the link, I believe in prayer.

you know, sometimes dreams have some meaning.
its mean u re tired of ur life, stressed, and u brought all of ur problem when ure sleep.
or sometimes its become a sign what will happen next.
if u dont want to hve a nightmare, try to throw away ur problem before u sleep.
make ur self comfort in ur bed.

Well, dear sir. All I can say is that everything that happens have a reason. All we have to do is be strong and ask God for guidance. And he will show us the way. You can overcome this! like it is said. " I can do everything in HIM who gives me strength." -Philippians 4:13

Well, dear friend, even I, who am religious, I am convinced that with the power of faith, there are no insurmountable obstacles.
