It would be nice to find Christian friends online and from different parts of the globe. I mean people who belong to Protestant religions and who are bible readers.
Since this is a forum site, it would be nice to discover here all Christians for more than 5 years now.
I would like to know how did you become a Christian and if it is easy to be a Christian.
You can visit my web page http://ihavefaithtobelieve.blogspot.com/ and I want to build friendships with believers online.

I heard the Gospel in power, i.e., so I understood the message of the cross, way back in 1965. I asked Him into my life and then I thought I knew HIM and knew it all.
Well, I know a lot more about doctrine and about Him, now, but knowing Him intimately? Occasionally I get a sense of knowing Him.
You'll find quite a number of private Christians here on mylot, and sincere people from other religions (who need the Lord Jesus), but if you want to see how some ministers, etc write, there are some more designatedly Christian sites, like the Baptist Board, and, I think, a Puritan Board, and, probably a Presbyterian one as well. I found mylot as a result of googling Job 19:26, and it is quite a good place to get questions resolved, even if we don't have an awful lot of ministers on here.

At the moment, we don't generally see them here on mylot, just well taught guys like myself, with a bit of extra slum dog millionaire-type knowledge. However, seeing the number of serious people on here interested in spiritual things, it would be good if some of them had time to engage with this site. In the mean time, you can always contact the guys at Grace Ministerial Academy (http://www.cubaorbc.org), if people already on here do not give adequate answers. I've also just looked up http://englishchurchman.com/, which stores back issues of the paper, as well as a very useful blog. If you have a question that you haven't had answered adequately here, you can email it to the editor of that fortnightly newspaper; if it's a really difficult question, he might publish your email, otherwise he would almost certainly reply to you directly - I doubt very much that he would ignore a serious enquirer. The British Church Newspaper, http://www.britishchurchnewspaper.co.uk/, is also very good, though it doesn't publish anything like as much online. There is also a lot of sanctified brain power at www.metropolitantabernacle.org/ and www.fpchurch.org.uk/.

How does God talk to me? Never really heard his voice, audible voice not really. He talks to me in books and the Bible. One time I had a meditation and it was amazing that the book I am holding confirms the exact topic I am thinking and it happens many times. He may speak to you in the Bible which I guess the number one tool God uses for me ever since. Sometimes a friendly advice or message may actually be a voice of God.
I believe in the end, Jesus will not look at our religions. Not everyone that calls "My Lord" will be saved practically because it is so easy to call Jesus "My Lord" but your entire lifetime as the Lord evaluates it in the end will prove if Jesus is really our Lord or we are just fooling around.

Hi Avery!
Jesus said:
John 15:10,14 King James Version (KJV) 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
I find it a delight to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:21-22) There is no better, richer, happier, more satisfying way to live.
All the best!

I seem to know that you sound more of a Christian because you quote a lot of verse. Please find time to comment on my blog post and share your views. Thanks

I was born into a Christian family. My uncle was a preacher and we were at church every time those doors opened. I loved it when I was little. I was reading the Bible when I was 7. As I grew older I started to question certain things. Not existence things really...it was more about the organization factors and the attitudes of the members. I am no longer in the church and am often confused about things where the religion is concerned, but I do find myself still holding on to some of the rituals and traditions I have been taught. I think I have developed a more personal relationship.
That sounds like a great forum site.

Most of us really are exposed in religions. Does not have any preachers in my immediate family really, nor priest or pastors. I am reading the Bible even before though some people have funny smiles if they see a bible in your bag, I always bring a small bible in my bag when I am in high school.

There are lots of us here and you will find out what we believe if you read the discussions in Jesus Christ, God and Religion. It is good to have Bible believing Christians joining in the questions and answers, there are some great discussions as well as some very odd replies.
I became a Christian in my teens as a result of being in a Bible Class and then hearing Billy Graham preach in England. I shall add you to my friends and take a look at your blog.

Right, I should search the content of Mylot about these topics so I can find believers. It is a hard journey to be a Christian and we find strength with fellow believers.

Like others have posted here, there are many of us here who are Christian and talk about it all the time in our discussions. Or even sometimes I know I do in all the discussions I respond back too from time to time as well. Even though we may all differ in our beliefs some as long as you believe in Jesus as your personal Savior we can all aclaim to being a Christian in some way.

Right, lots of people can easily say they are Christians even if it is quite hard to be one and people will test you if you really are.

have you looked in religion or christian categories? I am a christian, there are many of us here. You can become a Christian in many different ways. But the most important way is that you must believe that Jesus is your lord and savior.

That gives me an idea. I will read a lot of discussions about this category here. I would be interested to meet very active Christians coz' you see there are some that are not really serious about it.

I'm in the USA. I've been a Christian since I was 18 but I really didn't start living like one until I found out what God wanted me to be. I hope you find more people on here who want to talk about their lives and how God has made them better through his word. It's not easy being a Christian, that's why so many people don't want to sacrifice themselves to it. Sinning is easy, its innate. Loving God and others is hard but well worth the time and effort.

Great, plain true. Sinning is easy. Loving God above everything else is difficult. Religions are taxing and boring. Being a Christian is sometimes not practical because the worldly life is So tempting.

Do you know sometimes, no matter how we try to straighten our life, other people does not seem to believe that we are child of God. Some people does not really sure of their status whether they are really child of God or child of the Devil.
But the greatest fact to make sure your a child of God is you really love God, think of him all the time and you feel guilty of your sins and you hate sinning. An indication that you are of the Devil is your mocking the power of God, the Bible, Jesus and you love sinning and you love your sinful life.

I am also a believer of Jesus Christ, being a Christian is not that easy. How did i become a christian?, i accepted Jesus as my Lord and Personal Savior in my life. And not just by accepting Him as my Personal Savior, but knowing Him more is better... right?
...good day!...

It so not easy to be a Christian because we are natural sinners. We will be mock by our surroundings and will tempt us to enjoy carnality and will call us jerks because we read the Bible. Practically, one of the deception of Satan is for people to make fun of the Bible, make fun of people who reads it.

You mean our "God Stories"? That's what we call our history on becoming Christians. How we ended up like this. I am also a Christian. My classmate in Senior high school invited me to a Cell Group. And since then, I started worshiping God. The real God I mean. I knew then what is right and wrong. About how wrong is the Catholicism in so many ways. :(

Yeah, the God stories. Well most of us passed the Catholic religion first but then there are other denominations that sprout everywhere worshiping God in a different style. Right now I am not against religions anymore though I don't wanna tie myself to any of them. Religions are just man's experimentation.

There's only one way to become a Christian. That is, by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. I have been a Christian a long time ago, but realizing the true meaning of being a Christian, I can say that I have been born again just last year. Being a true Christian in this world is not easy because while we are still in this world, a world whose god is satan, we will always be tempted in so many ways. But with Christ leading our lives, the enemy will never defeat us. We have to be always strong in our faith.
I have shared my experience in an Encounter God retreat in my blog. This was a truly life-changing experience. If you want to know what a real Christian is and how I experience the peace that only comes from following Jesus, you may read the Encounter at http://etherealjourney.blogspot.com/2012/07/truth-struck-me-like-double-edged-sword.html

Wow, that blog is great definitely a great source for faithful believers. It is important to be strong in faith because every now and then the enemy will try to defeat us with his numerous schemes.

It's easy to say that "Hey, I'm a Christian", but its harder to live a Christian life.
I'm a Christian since birth and feel blessed. My parents trained me to be active in our church. Until it already became a part of my body. I feel something is missing when I am not able to give attention or to serve in our church.

That is so true. It is very easy to say " Hey I am a Christian, I read the Bible, I believe in Jesus" but then when its time to walk your talk you walk differently. Have you heard of those saying "practice what you preach"
Definitely I am not convince of people who preachy- preachy a lot but then is doing a lot of wrong things, like I want to say "hey I want to preach you too because you are doing a lot of wrong things!"

To be a Christian, regularly read the Bible (meditating on what it says and asking friends if you're not sure, which is one of the things I've been doing here lately since I'm not sure of a lot of the New Testament stuff.)
Focus especially on the things that God & Jesus Christ say, as those are the "divine" words (mostly). The other text is there to fit those sayings into 'the world' (originally 'the world' at the time those Scriptures were written, but some of that lasts through to 'the world' as it is today).
It is said that 'they' (the not-yet Christians) will know that WE are Christians by our love. Like the love Jesus Christ showed for His disciples---suffering & dying to show that the Truth of the Gospel-is worth it and -will save us all in about the same way.

I am a christian, I believe in Jesus Christ my Savior. I was saved when I was in my sophomore high school. I was a worship leader in our church before. Being a christian is a blessing and privilege. It's not easy to be a christian if we will talk about our own ability but with God being a christian is indeed a nicest and wisest decision we can have.
