Virgin media are a mess!
I actually am at the point where if it wouldn’t cost me so much money to come out of my contract, I would leave in a heart beat.
My internet doesn’t work properly, hasn’t worked since it was installed in January. I have asked them 3 times to change my bill date so it coincides with my payday.
I have made numerous complaints to no avail of getting someone to call me back.
I have made numerous complaints demanding monetary compensation for the internet I have been paying for for months and was giving £50. Despite the fact my bill is £50 nearly every month including television!
I was left ONE voicemail by the complaints department telling me they had found a fault on my service hence all my complaining, and when I tried to call back to speak to that person, they miraculously couldn’t be found, the customer service advisor then tried to tell me I was lying and had received no such voicemail, and eventually I was told my service was fine!
And the worst part, and I mean NO OFFENSE to anyone on Mylot, but the majority of the call centre advisors do not speak English. I am from northern Ireland so I have a strong accent, and they cannot understand what I am saying, nor can I understand them sufficiently enough to deal with my problem, making us go round and round in circles.
And the one and only time I have ever spoken to anyone who spoke English, was when they transferred me to the cancellations department when I threatened to leave, and THAT was the day they finally gave me the measly amount of £50 which was basically a free month.
I am utterly disgusted!
Has anyone here had any dealings with Virgin Media?
What do you think of this?

You are in ireland and Virgin Media service there is not good. check up from your neighbors and then switch on to another internet service provider though it may involve loss of money. Mental peace is more important than the money.
solution lies in finding out alternate provider who can give better service.
In chennai where I normally live we use airtel internet connection and the service is good. Here in Canada we use Rogers and the service is good.

I have heard bad stories about them not working for days on end which I could not be doing with if I had superfast broadband normally. I am with TalkTalk and I had problems with them at first as the broadband and phone plugs were the same, I had someone who came out and sorted the problem and things have been fine since.

My bf is in UK and their internet provider also is Virgin media. I am one of those who always complain about how slow his internet connection is. Our talks are always delayed and when we do video calls, you won't even see the other one move, we just stay in place even if we move around O.o
I always ask him to call virgin media to report how slow their connection are and I really do understand you when you say "majority of the call centre advisors do not speak English" He does put the phone on loud speaker so I can hear what their reasons are and I really can tell that even if I am not in an English speaking country, my English is way better than the agent who answered my bf's call ( and again, no offense to anyone here in Mylot) I'm sorry, but they really do need to change their way of giving service to their customers if they still want to do business with a lot more people.
