Do you cook your food on your own?

Do you cook your food on your own? I am living alone for two years and will live unless my marriage. So by now I go out some time for my food and some time I try on my own. I don’t have hands on experience in cooking. But I try some time. But I am not very versatile in cooking. So I don’t like to cook but I do this for me. What are your experiences, do you cook your own food.

Kinda, but not even anything as 'complex' as sliding a "Papa Murphy's"-pizza in the oven (a "Papa Murphy's"-pizza kinda like a "Pizza Hut"- or "Hideaway Pizza"-pizza, except uncooked). My 'cooking'-routine is usually either "throw it in the microwave and let it run for a few minutes" or "bring some water to a boil and throw the noodles (usually Ramen-) in there for a few minutes." Other than that, I'm usually eating at a friend's place (either their home or their restaurant/fast-food place.)

And Papa Murphy's pizza isn't even like the pizza my father & mother & brother & sister & I used to make (though it was mostly my father), mixing the dough (Appian Way, I think the mix was called), spreading the sauce (which I think came with the mix), grating the cheeses (cheddar & mozzarella) & spreading it on the pizza, pre-cooking a ball of ground beef & mashing it up & spreading it on the pizza, and popping it all in the oven. Papa Murphy's people have done all that (except for the 'pop it in the oven'-step)--probably way-better than we hungry people did--& all we have to do is pop it in the oven. Still, something about 'working together as a family' made OUR pizza taste Awesome! I think that's part of why I liked going over to grandma-&-grandpa's to make cookies.

Well I can cook for myself an know some dishes. But since I am still single and living my parents, my dad used to be the one cook cause he is really a great cook but my mom sometimes cook too. Usually my mom cools in the morning and prepare food for me that I used to bring at the office for lunch.

My husband had never cooked anything until I had an operation and could not do anything for a month. He found my cookery books, followed the recipes exactly and cooked better than I do! So there is hjope for everyone, all you need is to look for a cookery book that gives some basic recipes and you will be away. Once you have tasted and enjoyed your own cooking you will not want to buy from the shops again.

I really enjoy cooking when there are people in the house and other people are chipping in with food costs, I like making things from Jamie Oliver's cook books they are all pretty simple to make though there isnt much point I guess unless I have my mum and dad or brother or boyfriend to cook for. I am very much into my Asian cooking and using the food processor at the moment.Though I am really bad at baking cookies or bread everything ends up overflowing everywhere or not rising properly for some reason.

I cook our foods because I have my kids with me. I just can't afford buying foods from the restaurant everyday. besides, cooking at home is much safe and can save me a lot of money than buying from restaurant.

I already cook since I am 8 years old. Same with baking and I make a lot out of chcolate as well. Already as a little girl I was collecting recipes from everywhere. This doesn't mean there are periods I am not cooking at all. Also I can live on a little boil of rice as well. It's not that I always want luxury food on my table. Also I like to cook for others (includes my kids) way more as for me alone. I guess if I were alone I would not cook at all (not just for me). I am interested in recipes, cooking etc but not in eating it all.

i never used to be but know i think that i am getting a lot more skilled in the kitchen, i no longer live with my parents so i have had to get used to cooking on my own. I like to cook pasta and vegtable based dishes best as a like to eat pretty healthy.

Most of the time, I buy food from diners but sometimes, especially if it's my rest day, I cook my own food. Eventually, you'll get tired of processed foods so you'll start to crave for home-cooked foods.

when i was living alone I never used to cook. i used to just buy outside food. But if I had to invite friends over to my place then of course i would cook. But now since I am married I cook at home and my hubby does not like to eat outside food. I have to cook then.. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day ahead.

i did it both before. i can cook and if got lazy or wanted to eat something in a store, well, i rushed in there and brought the food i bought to eat it my boarding house. i have a little talent in cooking but do not love cooking at all times , admittedly, a bit lazy when cooking is already a concerned to me. but when i have all the appetite to the cooking, ampt, i will do it without letting someone hears some complains and murmurs :D depends on my mood to add :)
