I've been reading books on my tablet if I have the option. I've been getting them from the library because then I don't have to worry about my 1-year-old trying to tear it to pieces. Right now, I'm reading Wed By Mistake. It's an interesting book, but then I've only read the Prolouge and Chapter 1 so far.

I have the Kindle apps in my iPad and so far I am so loving it. I like the way that I can carry more than one books in such a thin device. I also love how they all look in my "library". Right now I'm reading "The Brethren" by John Grisham, a book suggested by my husband because it is his all-time favorite. And I must say he's right.

I don't think I've ever read any books by John Grisham, although I have heard of his books. Now, I haven't found these books on the Kindle, have you read the Daughter's of Fortune series by Judith Pella? These are some good books. It's set before, during, and some after, WII. Judith Pella can definitely take you make in time with these books. Now, these books do have a Christian aspect to them, but it's doesn't bash you over the head with it.

Oh John Grisham is really good. I actually have a collection of his books after a few chapters of "The Brethren". No, I haven't heard of Judith Pella, but I will see if I can get that series from Amazon. I am a Christian but I like to think that I have an open mind when it comes to faith and beliefs.

There are few English books available where I live so up until 6 months ago I had to depend on books people handed down to me. Then I bought a Kindle when I was in England. Now I can read such a variety of books and I can download them in minutes.
Kindle is really practial because if I take off the cover it fits into my handbag so whenever I go to situations where I know I will have a long wait I take my Kindle. The magazines at the dentists and opticians are all in Greek so it used to be a boring wait for me, now I lose myself in a good book.
Thank you for the recommendations, I shall certainly try both books.

Nope! still like reading books. I haven't bought one for years. But I have alot of books that I have not read in a long time. For me, just like you can watch a really good movie more than once, I can read good books more than once too. Also there's another thing about those electronic readers. If by chance, something happens to your book, it;s less than $10.00. If something happens to the Kindle, you're out over a hundred.

Everyone is going to like one or the other. Not everyone will jump ship to read on e-readers. I doubt the printed page would ever entirely go out of style. Not everyone can afford a tablet, no matter what brand. It's just nice to be able to start reading a book the instant you buy it, if you buy it using a Kindle.

I actually don't have any kind of an e-reader device, so this has not been something that I've ever had the pleasure of doing. However, I am thinking about getting one in the near future and then I will try to check out electronic versions of books from our local library. This I think is a great option to be able to try something before I buy it. However, I also don't think that any kind of technology will ever replace a traditional book for me.

I was given a nook for my birthday two years ago. A Nook is Barnes and Nobles version of the Kindle. I absolutely loved it. I had about 500 books on it, and didn't pay for a single one of them, because B&N has a ton of free books on the website that you could download for free.
I took my Nook everywhere with me- the doctors, the hospital, in the car, even into the bath tub with me (which I wouldn't recommend because one small slip and there it goes). I had some great recipe books so my Nook would go into the kitchen with me too. I adored my Nook. And there was nothin special about it. It was the very first one ever made, and had no special features to it. But it was still the perfect gift for me.
I have used my Nook so much, that it finally bit the dust a few months ago. Would I get another one? Sure! But that hasn't stopped me from buying a bunch of books at the thrift stores either. There's just something about a good (real) book in your hands at night when your relaxing!

I still havn't had the possibility to read on kindles or e-reader device, so I still read printed books or ebooks on my computer. But I already started to save money to buy one, as they are a bit expensive.
