Do you still find time watching movies nowadays?

The last time I went to a movie theater was last July this year. I watched Ice Age 4 together with my son and my youngest sister. That's already months from now. I wonder when can I go to the movie theater again. In my hometown, we don't have anymore movie theaters. We have to travel for almost one hour to go to a movie theater. I hope we'll have one again in the future. How about you fellow mylotters, do you still find time watching movies? Feel free to share your thoughts. Happy mylotting everyone.

It could sometimes think of it going to the theater, yet it is more fun and economical to buy a CD of the movie,so that my family could also enjoy the movie. It is really more enjoyable viewing it in a big screen as you could feel the thrill and actions as you are also busy chewing your snack and drinks in your selected seat of the cinema. Then you could hear someone
was almost shouting with excitements, then others with the same reactions as I was and, others are in owe what had happen. You could hear their reactions and it adds the thrill in the movie house,so was my family and they were all satisfied.

Yes, you are right. It's more exciting to watch the movie on a big screen. The loud sound and the reactions of the people make it more exciting. Oh, I miss watching movie in a movie theater. We only watch downloaded movies at home nowadays. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

You are correct my friend. The children especially my grand children, are really the ones very eager to see a movie.I just tried to let them experience how is it feeling inside a movie house.I do not want to go to a movie house anymore because of its prices are already high and most of all the kids are fun of eating snacks,so you could just imagine how much could be
spent. They are always knowing what are the next movies in the theaters, that is why I just bought for them a CD for the said movies they wanted to see, that they have never yet tried to go inside a cinema ever since. They are really very surprise to know that the movie house was lighted very dimly,so I open my ready flashlight to guide their ways. They have so many questions that I just tell them to keep quiet because the movie would start in a few minutes.

Oh, I felt that when I took my son to the movie house. I was so happy that at last, he experienced going to the movie theater. My son said it's nice to watch a movie at the movie theaterm but he preferred watching at home. LOL. I'm thankful about that. My son is already practical at a young age. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Funny you should ask. Thats my plan for my sons birthday tomorrow. Its actually today, but we'll be celebrating tomorrow. I'm not sure what he wants to see. Special occasions like birthdays are about the only time we still go to the movies. We simply can't afford to go to the movies to often at 10+ dollars a person. We try to get the deals, the bargain matinees etc. We also watch alot of movies online and occasionally I'l rent one from a DVD Kiosk. Other then birthdays we'll sometimes try to get to the movies when a really big movie is coming out. Like Dream Girls when that came out a few years ago, it was kind of a big deal. So lets see, I have 4 kids, so lets see maybe we go the movies 4 times a year, (we don't always do the movies for birthdays) and then if something really big is coming out. Thats it.

Oh, it's really expensive to watch a movie there. $10 per head. Anyway, celebrating their birthdays in a movie theater is memorable for them. Watching movies on special occasion is great. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting. Belated happy birthday to you son. :)

This year I have only been to the movie theater once. My husband had received a movie gift card and we had made in a reservation at our local movie theater. When we arrived we discovered that we weren't able to use the gift card there, so we had to drive to the neighbour and we missed the first part of the movie. If we decide to watch another movie at the movie theater we will check the information carefully so that we don't end up in the same situation again Most of the time we prefer to watch movies at home instead of going to the movie theater. When we are tired we don't always feel like going out so we watch movies on the computer instead.

Oh, yes. I agree with you. I guess nowadays it's difficult to spend time outside. I only go home on weekends so I usually spend my weekends at home with my family. We enjoy watching movies on the computer, too. We occasionally watch movies on big screens. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

I live in a big city so we have cinemas. The last movie I went to see was a couple of days ago. It was called Fishing salmon in Yemen. The movie was nice, a bit of drama and romance, very much a woman´s taste.

Yes, I do. In fact, I have just just watched a movie with a friend last Friday. Even if I do watch online movies most of the time with my bf, since we are in a long distant relationship, I still feel the need to go watch movies in theaters because that is one of the bonding moments I can spend with my friends. In fact, we have already planned our next movie bonding, which will be the Twilight saga's last part of book 4. It's still a few more weeks but I am already excited to go out with my friends..

It's been a long time since I watched a movie at a theater. I'd rather watch a movie in the comfort of my own home. Watching a movie at home you don't have to worry about some one's head in your view, people talking while you're trying to listen to the movie or people trying to walk in front of you to get something to eat. As far as the prices go, it's much cheaper to rent, or even buy a movie and watch it at home.

Oh, yes. I agree with you. However, it's also nice to watch a movie even just once or twice a year. I just realized now that I haven't gone to the movies for a decade or almost a decade. LOL. My family love watching movies at home. We can adjust the volume if it's too loud or if it's too soft, etc. We can just tell any of us to shut up if we are watching. LOL. For me, it's more convenient to watch at home. However, I will still want to experience going to the movies. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Now, if they would bring back the drive in theaters, that would be even better. I remember one time we lived by a drive in theater and we watched the whole move and there was some way we could get the sound to come in on our radio. Now talk about watching a movie on a big screen in the comfort of your home!!

I do find going to the cinema expensive nowadays, the admission price plus buying any sweets etc, I can't remember the last time I went, probably to see the last Harry Potter film, yes I know that long ago. Although I really hope to go and see the new James Bond film next month. I may have to go on my own however as none of friends are keen on Bond. I am looking forward in seeing Ice Age 4 but when it comes out on DVD.

My husband and I still find time to go to the movies, especially when there is something good showing. Just a few days ago we went to the movies to watch a local movie because we are both fans of the actor and actress and it was a comedy so we really enjoyed it. One of the reasons why a lot of people no longer watch movies is that it has become quite expensive, especially here in my country. Imagine you shell out P180 (close to $5) just for one person. For Americans, this amount may not be much, but for most Filipinos that amount is like their salary for half a day. This is also one reason why some movie houses have closed down and you can only find good moviehouses in the big malls.

Yes, I agree with you. In our country watching a movie is expensive. However, if we watch occasionally, I guess nothing is wrong with that. It's just like treating ourselves once in a while. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

I seldom go to watch movie in the cinema today because the movie tickets are expensive. Last time the movie I watched in the cinema is Mission Impossible 4. In usual I like to watch movies from my mobile phone or tablet. As I can arrange my time to watch it. It is much more convenient.

I only watch movies in theaters occasionally. I have some bit of free time but my real reason for not watching often is that I find it quite expensive. I see you're from the Philippines too. I'm in Metro Manila and the average cost of seeing a film in the theater is around P150 (Oooh, I remember the times when it was only less than a hundred). Most of the time, many films get shown on HBO Asia a year later so I'd rather wait. I'm quite a patient person so it's all right. I wanted to see this film called Horrible Bosses last year but I let it pass. This month, it's showing on HBO. Anyway, I'll only watch movies that I really like in the theaters. I'm looking forward to the James Bond film Skyfall and will definitely watch it. I'll set aside a budget and make time for it.

I don't often go to the movies, because of the cost rather than the time. This is because a ticket costs $10 and then there is another $10 for the food that you eat while you're there, so I just can't afford the trip any more. However, I still like to buy the movies on DVD when they are out in the shops, and that means that you can watch them as many times as you like without having to pay for it again. I love sitting at home with the fire on and some popcorn watching a film with my family. It is much better than watching it with other people, in my opinion, and you hardly have to pay any money to be able to do it.

Yes, we've been watching dvd's for many years already. I guess the last time I went to the movie theater was 2002 or 2003, alone. Then the recent one was this July 2012. I took my son to a movie theater for the first time. I haven't been to the movie theater for almost a decade. LOL. My husband and I never watch any movie together yet. I guess it will never happen. I think he's claustrophobic. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Sometimes we always too busy to watch movies, but I think if we still can squeeze some of our time to go to the theater, watching a movie sometimes no only is the movies itself, but also it is a way to make our relationship more closed, because in this internet society we all just sit in front of our computer and have less interaction with our relative and friends.

Hello there Angel Karah. I really love watching movies. When I was a college student, I really loved spending some time in the movie theaters with my boyfriend. We were able to watch a lot of interesting movies before. Though, when we already started working, we couldn't go to the movies that much anymore because we were a bit busy already.
Nowadays, I think I don't have enough time to watch movies anymore. In a year, I could only go to the movie theater twice. The last time I was able to watch a movie was last July. Last month, I wasn't able to watch a certain movie that I really liked to see. I told my boyfriend about it because I really have a big crush on the actor. It was already dark outside when we saw the poster so we just didn't watch so we could go home on time. Then, we forgot about it the following week.
I hope I could watch a movie with my guy again next November. I would like to watch "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2." I wanted to watch the Part 1 last year but I got sick that time and I didn't want my condition to be worse when I would feel cold in the movie theater. I just hope I could watch a movie in a movie theater before this year would end.
Before, I also liked watching some movies in DVDs but nowadays, I just do myLotting when I get home at night. :) I think I couldn't find so much time to watch movies these days compared to the other months. Oh, I already miss watching some fascinating and hilarious movies. I really hope I could watch one again soon. Anyway, I hope you could also watch a movie with your family soon so you could have a great time with them. Happy myLotting to you. :)

Yes, I'm very practical in life. Did you know that my husband and I never watched movies at the movie theater? And my son is already 8 years old now and it was his first time going to the movie theater last July 2012? When it comes to money I only really buy important things. I sometimes don't even buy some of my needs such as vitamins, etc. I hope I'll not get sick of being too much practical. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.
