Even she wants a better education

So, as I posted before, some people might ask, how better in life would education bring us to where we want to be? In some exception, like those movie stars, they don't have good education, but they still make a glamorous lives, and make definitely makes million of dollars. In reality, I believe that a better education can provide us better option than no education at all. In the recent news, a 102 - year - old lady still pursue her education, and she is way beyond retirement. Her goal in study is auto mechanic, and she definitely go for it regardless of her age. So, with her insistent on pursuing education, she got herself full scholarship, and that really inspired me somehow, because I am younger than her at least 70 years. Is that tell you something? Pursuing better education is the way for our brighter future. Even a senior can tell you that by her action.

Maybe pursuing education to acquire a certain skill one wants to have is good. But I don't give credit to our education system enough to say that it opens better options. Since the only options I see in it is only employment and competition in the market. Financial education is the one thing that can really give you better options. You will be able to see opportunities, find which quadrant fits you best (Employee, Self-employed, Business owner and/or Investor) and learn which among the quadrants of people is more advantageous in a certain situation for you than the rest. For me, pursuing to have a better financial intelligence is the answer to our economic's problems.

Bless her heart for wanting to get her college degree. I am proud of her pursuing her dreams and not letting anything stand in her way. I am in my late 30's and I am pursuing a second Master's Degree in Leadership and Management in hopes to open my own preschool. I received my Bachelor's Degree when I was 32 years old then went on for my first masters and now a second Master's Degree. Not sure if I will go for my PhD or take some time off.

Not everyone who succeed in life were college graduates. Manny Pacquiao didn't even completed a high school diploma before he became famous. Success in life doesnt depend solely on educational attainment. Just take note. Education does not come from schools alone.

Having a degree gives us an edge and open doors of opportunities. But I believe that education itself, without determination and courage cannot put us on pedestal. There are a lot of successful people who didn't finish or don't hold a diploma but still, they are successful in their chosen field.Bill gates, himself,is a college drop out but where is he now? He is one of the successful persons I really admire.

Yes, pursuing higher education is really the best way for our brighter future.!! These movie stars are one among millions who got the luck on their lap! I met many people in my life who take these movie stars as their role models! pity them! Education can simply change anyone!

I think those movie stars work just as hard and and their life is always in public eyes for our entertainment . I dont think anything like that just fall in their laps they had talent/skill for entertainment . We are all unique not everyone can afford education and not everyone was born to pursue it. Just be happy that the world is full of variety .

Wow that is amazing, 102! That gives us all hope that you can indeed learn at any age, and no one is too old to learn, or even change career no matter how old they are. I thought I was brave for throwing in my career at 32 and starting again on a whole new career, which meant going back to college for the first time since I left school and being in a class of 16 and 17 years old, half my age! It takes a lot of courage and commitment but if you are willing to learn then the opportunities are boundless.

This proves that age is really just a number and spirit is timeless. She never gives up and still wants to learn despite the common thinking that older people should rest and have no need to hone their learning skills. She truly is an inspiration.

Hi friend, good to know that a 102 years old lady is interested in education and continuing it. Really it is a great thing and i admire her for her will power and confidence. Education never has any end and age limits, she is the living example for it.

A University education used to be the open door to a career, job security and good pay. This is not the case any longer because of the high level of education now with so many young people opting for further education. The people most likely to succeed financially now are those who provide a service on a regular basis. So plumbers may do very well and so may electricians because they are always in demand. I think people who have goals early in life and determination to reach them are the ones most likely to succeed. The bonus of having a degree is that you know so much more, you have proved your ability to learn and you can enjoy things so much better if you know physics, for instance, and life is a lot easier if you have some mathematics to fall back on. You sound intelligent if you can speak grammatically correct English. None of these things may bring in the dollars but if you ask a person with a degree if they would rather be educated and poor or ignorant and rich I am fairly sure they would go for the education.

wow. its such a bless for our God. i can't believe it when i read the age of the lady. 102 years ! Oh My God.. many of 70-80 years old people now is laying in hospital bed and some have already rest in peace. but she, she still want to school. its amazing ! if this is a reall discussion (not onine) i would like to stand up and give my biggest and loudest applause for her spirit and i will also pray for her to keep her healthy so she can finish her study.. its really tell me that education is our very need. except for those who are already lucky (being an actress or actor, or born under a richest family) its not so.. but still the education must be in our top priority now ..
