Aren't you just sick of politicians opening their big mouths and then apologizing for it. Mitt Romney's running mate made a comment about how 47 percent of Americans just wanted a handout. He had to apologize for it. Here in Canada politician said that Jack Layton, one of the most beloved politicians in Canadian history died earlier because of Thomas Mulcare who was hounding him. He has had to apologize. The wife of the late Jack Layton said Jack died of cancer not because somebody was pushing him in politics. Now the Prime Minister has to decide what fate this minister will have. This same joker has been taped sleeping during parlimentary sessions and running his mouth before where he had to apologize. Personally I think if this guy is going to sleep on the job, he doesn't deserve it and should be fired. any thoughts?

Romney is certainly not someone the country needs in office. But look at the alternative. I am sick of Obama. I am not voting and haven't voted since Clinton. The guy you speak of should be fired. I wish this country had someone worth voting for in the election coming up.

yeah sleeping on the job, he should be fired, instead taxpayers are paying for him to sleep on the job.

Actually, I have a friend that attended some speech that Romney gave years ago when he was campaigning for something and he made some sort of similar comment. I'd have to ask her again just what it was but was a slam to people on the lower end of the income scale for sure.

Yep. Exactly. I would say they;d make a great team....if we want our country to go downhill even more! He has quite a following though and truthfully that scares me.

It's true that things are said that they have to eat later on, but often times they tell the truth and then have to apologize just to be politically correct. Then other times politicians say and do things just because they think they can get by doing it. There are lots of people who have learned how to milk the system just to keep welfare money coming in. For instance a woman I used to know was on section 8 and only paid about $48 a month for a 3 bedroom ranch house. Her twins got jobs and moved out, but she never notified section 8 and also rented a room out for $400 a month. Her brother and I were close and even he was disgusted at how she worked the system. That's not an isolated case. There are lots of people getting disability to get a check, but can work full-time jobs under the table. This is why I believe a politician can get into hot water by telling the truth. Granted, everyone isn't dishonest, but there will always be people who live off the tax payers while working jobs under the table so that the government doesn't find out.

These people were like everyone else at one time. Abiding the rules, telling their kids not to lie and being thoughtful and caring. Then they become a politician with a title and turn into Dr. Jeckyll and all their morals go in the circular file.
