Artists are known by people. Once you are a celebrity, you were like a public property. Paparazi are all over their footsteps. I'm wondering if the famous people wished to be invisible, seeking desperately for privacy. Speaking with other people, who are tycoons in business world. Are they feeling the same thing?

You've got me thinking there. When I was younger, I prefer to be always invisible because in my opinion I am a nobody. I am not popular so even my words or acts would mean something, it's nothing. But as I grow older and have built a strong post in my position I would to be known and words could be quoted. I take full responsibility of the consequences of there are any.

I agree with you TheCatLady, and I don't want that popularity. You are right Shavkat, facing the society as me not just in the office or at home is an achievement because I came out of my shell.

There is a huge difference being know for your position and knowledge, deeds, inventions etc, than being a star or royalty. One commands respect for the person, the other not.

Privacy is a boon, whether you are famous or not,so I will not trade my privacy for all the gold in the world.Like what happened to British royal couple,I do not want my private life to be scrutinized, photographed and published all through out the world, for no fault of mine. When you are hunted down and are robbed of your privacy, you will really start to get tired of the public life. The artist work should get publicity and not his private life.

I would rather be known by people. I'm not shy so meeting new people has never been a problem. Famous people want to be famous and then they want to be left alone. Why not just not be famous, sounds easy enough to me. Privacy is a big issue, not just for famous people. We all like our space and when we're at home it should be our safest place of all.

I think once we become celebrities and have alot of people as fans and chasing after us we probably wish we were invisible. I am sure that anyone that is in the limelight for any reason may get tired of the lights and cameras all around them. I am sure it must get out at some point.

I do believe on that. I am sure if they were in front of the cameras, they used to smile but deep inside it is not. Thanks

I value my privacy and that is the reason that I've never been one of those people that wanted to be a celebrity in my life. I like to be able to leave the house in the middle of the night and go hang out with my friends and get a buzz going on without the rest of the world knowing about it. If I was to wake up one day and realize that there were people that were following me around where ever I went, then I would probably become a hermit.

It depends on the person. I myself would rather be invisible to most but known to the people I care about so as to have a sense of importance and meaning for someone else other than myselff. With regards to others, I don't necessarily want to be hidden but I don't care whether the image i cast is one of an outgoing or reserved person.

I have this kind of personality that it goes on what kind of people I am dealing with. I can be a cowboy, if they wanted to go on hiking. I can be outgoing, in terms of going a formal party and so forth. I tend to be functional in appropriate occasion. But then,I still need to be respected for my privacy.

I guess all well know people do owe half of their lives to the public. And being discreet with personal stuff could be difficult at times.

Yes, we need to be careful in every moves and act in the eyes of the public. But then, we can still have privacy in their own ways. Thanks

Even a regular person would be annoyed if someone would invade his privacy, so I am sure that this popular personalities feel the same. Especially that whatever they do, people seem to be looking at them. They can't even have a cup of coffee outside and treasure the moment. I prefer to have a low profile. I just want a normal life and I do not really hope to be known by all or to be as popular as those you've mention. My privacy is so important for me.

hi, for me i will always choose to be invisible to the eyes of the people or in the public so that they will never who me,and aside from that once you are known person you are also prone to the crime because now a days the more known are the more many bad people who have bad intention with you.

Most of the time I like to be invisible, not seen so I can do what I like to do. BTW I know how to behave so people will leave me alone or how to behave I don't care if they speak to me or I want some company. It all has to do with your own attitude. Also.. if I don't want visitors (busy or too tired) and have unexpected ones I will say so.

If you feel that it was your calling to be a public figure or public property, i think you wouldn't think it that way. If it was the nature of your work to be always public i'm sure you'll going to find some privacy for yourself.

In deed, you can have your own privacy at home. I am sure, paparazi wouldn't dare to get into private lot. Thanks for sharing.

How to say?I want to be the both:P Being known by people does't means I want to be a famous star or actress.I want to be the one who can make great influence on this world, like improving the standard of living, passing love... On the other hand,I don't want others disturb me now and then,I also need a quiet place to enjoy myself, enjoy the nature, though it's hard to get both when you are famous.

I would suppose that they want a little privacy in areas like with their family. I do think they would want the attention when acting, getting awards, etc. it depends on the situation. We really cannot get in their minds, but I suppose they do not want to have a camera thrust in their face all the time After all they became an actor because they were good at pretence not because they wanted someone to say how wonderful they are.

All depends on where I am and by who, if I am in class lol I rather not be seen by the teacher . I would not be comfortable with my business being publicize every step of the way . Sometimes in our normal life we rather not like family and friends to know certain thing so imagine if we were famous and everyone know what we dont want them to . I do believe there are some celebrity genuinely want some privacy at least in some part of their lives , while others pretend they want privacy . Some of those who claimed to want privacy are the ones who call the paparazzi .

I think people who want to be celebrities don't think beyond the fame and fortune. When the reality hits, lots of times they can't handle it. For myself, I want to be visible to the people I know and love or if I need to be visible, otherwise it doesn't matter. I have no desire to be a celebrity.

Yeah. I can't imagine living like the celebrities, my every movement being scrutinized and reported; it's a high price to pay for money and fame :/ I could do with the money, lots of it, but the fame? Not so much. I'm a private person. That said, nor do I wish to remain invisible, and thank God I am not because the people who matters to me sees me, and that's all that really matters to me :)
