Ever notice that some names are strange or weird like the politician named Mitt. Like really who names their kid Mitt like what you wear or play baseball with!!! Anyway, people name their baby some strange names these days like Golden or Purple. When I and my parents were younger, you named the baby something normal like Jane or John. Just my thoughts . What are thoughts on names , my lot friends!!

I agree, some countries also give names of what day their infant was born. Sometimes the name of a flower with its meaning. Have a great day!

Do you mean if the baby is born on a Tuesday they name it that?

I guess it depends on where you were raised and what traditions you value. There are so many "foreign" names now, but maybe they are just foreign to me. With the speed of communication and the blending of societies anything seems to fit. The names that drive me crazy are the ones where you can tell if the name belongs to a girl or a boy. My son and his wife had a baby girl and they were thinking of naming her Brooklyn, and my immediate and no so well thought out response was like the city in New YOrk? quickly followed by like the Brooklyn Dodgers ( a baseball team). Needless to say they did not name her Brooklyn. They named her Cecilia. A perfect little girl name, at least in my opinion. Later I when I thought about it ... why is Brooklyn so strange after all people name their kids Madison- like Madison WI. My nephew named his daugther Peyton and I thought like Peyton Manning the football player? Is Peyton a girl's name. Apparently so at least to my nephew.
