Now a days mobile phone is very much improved and we have the ability to do lot of things with it. Smart phones are come with various designs and facilities, where as we can use the entire internet using the smart phone with out the help of pc or laptop. Also smart phones are very handy and we can carry it easily from one place to another place without more strain.
Tablet computers are also a great competition to the normal desktop and laptop. This kind of tablet pc phones are similar to mobile phones which is very handy and lot of people are interested in buying the tablets for their internet usage. If the trend is going in this sort, Tablets may replace computer and laptop for internet usage and we can use our mobile or pc tablet for our internet usage and forget about the normal desk tops and laptops.
This kind of mobile and tablet pc's are available in low cost compared with laptop and desktop, so it is easy to buy them. As well as they are very compatible and easy to handle comparing with normal computers. Even little child can carry and handle them easily without more effort. Also kids are interested in accessing this kind of tablets a lot, since it is easy to use and understand. So i think mobile phone and tablet pc will replace the normal pc in the near soon. Do you agree with me? What is your opinion about tablets?

I don't like where this is going. Already Windows 8 is made with tablets in mind and it's really annoying to use compared to older versions of Windows. Mobility is nice but I still prefer powerful desktop PCs and keyboard-mouse.

i agree that gadgets has evolved a lot over the years. and i am also one of those who appreciates the tablet computers.
however, there are also some things that he tablet cannot do that the regular pc can. yes, the tablet can be easily had, and that it is mobile, which can mightily be handy with regular internet browsing.
however with heavy computing, it is much more convenient and practical to use the pc.
you can't expect the needed memory and space that the pc provides in your tablet. for now. but anyway, everything has its pros and cons. but as of this moment, the tablet can't still beat the good old desktop.

i doubt fully-i'm a graphic artist, and while tablet may be fine for internet,it's impossible to use for drawing, the screen is way too small to see detail.if kids want them fine, they can have them.

I think the only thing that the desktop or laptop will go behind from tablet is its portability.
Tablets nowadays has already Photoshop wherein you can already edit pictures which can only be done in a regular pc before.
It has already Office applications so you can do your presentations and reports.
So I guess, you have a point on this...

For now table have never replace PC for me :$
I could even create slideshows on tables, couldn't view sites well enough at table the way I could view it on PC browser.
Tablet can be good for outdoor purposes, but at home- i just ignore tablet and use PC the whole time I'm online =)
i love pC and mouse and keyboard a lot!=)

No, I very much doubt if they will. There is no denying the huge popularity of tablet PCs, which will undoubtedly take a large proportion of the desktop computer sales, but they will not fully replace them.
Tablets have a certain attraction and with the rapidly advancing jumps in technology there are many with greater computing power than the average home computer had a decade ago. Nevertheless, desktop computers have several advantages that will guarantee their future.
The size of the screen and keyboard automatically add ease of use to a desktop computer, and it is far easier to open a desktop computer to add or upgrade components rather than have to replace the whole machine to modernise it. If you buy a tablet PC then it will still be the same in 5 years and will rapidly become outdated.

are you talking about a laptop, yes it has its advantages, such as taking notes in a classroom or conference, but I imagine the smaller they are the easier it will be for people to grab them off you in the bus and so on. That scares me. Gangs especially are on the look out for anything electronic.

Hi friend, both laptop as well as tablets have their own advantages and disadvantages, we don't have the ability to do group work using the tablets, it is apt for single person use

It is true that the tablet becomes so popular today. I also have one. However, I don't think they will replace the computer anyway. As the computers can do more things than the tablets. And besides inputting words in the computer is also much more convenient and faster than the tablet. Computers still have their own unique advantages.

I don't actually think that tablets will ever replace desk tops because of the fact that people still need to use them for typing up documents. I know that I need to type thousands of words per day in my job, and if I was working on a tablet there is no way that I would ever be able to type the amount that I need in the time that I would need to do it in. But I do like my tablet for playing games on because it is easier to play on a touch screen than on something that you would have to move the mouse for. I would always want to have both, but if I had to give up one of them it would be the tablet.

Hi friend, yes, tablet is not handy for this kind of typing work, we can just browse net and check our emails using it. Good to know about your opinion

TABLETS ARE THE NEXT THING IN .No matter how much we deny or argue but tablet will take place of laptop . Till now tablet can not do few things ( nexus 7 ):
1. usb connect modem
2. high end agp and rams
3. true muti tasking
May be I am wrong or I am missing some valuable point here , but I do agree it is matter of time that TABLET WILL CAPTURE THE WHOLE MARKET OF LAPTOP .

It's too early to make any such comment. I am using laptop and my room mate is using a Samsung made tab. And we both as of now feel that both of them have their own advantages and none can replace the other. This thinking might differ from person to person.
There are many major disadvantage of a Tab due to which it can't replace a Computer or a Laptop. Few of the disadvantage that I can list are:
1. No DVD or Blue Ray Drives
2. Lack of Ports
3. No HD
4. They are fragile and their touchscreens gets easily damaged.

I think if anything smart phones and tablets will take the place of laptops for some people but not all. I like my laptop and can take it with me as long as the battery is fine and powered but I may go looking for a plug eventually.
I know that my phone does have a lot better battery life (at the moment) than my laptop but to type or watch a movie on it I feel like it diminishes the quality. It takes me longer to write out things especially because at times the screen will register a different key than what I wanted. Yes I can grab a stylus but my fingers hitting keys tend to move faster.
Another reason why I think that phones and tablets won't take laptops or stationary computers out all the way is also the storage capacity. I know that you can probably eventually attach external hard drives to these devices but it seems like the smaller the device the less storage they can carry to begin with. Again external hard drives can be attached but the thing is that you can still end up loosing those while lugging them around anyway. In a matter of speaking you can have yourself open for security risk by always having all your things mobile. You loose that tablet or phone and then you have to wait for it to be fixed, or buy a new one and load all you stuff from cloud and in the end that can end up being expensive.

I think tablets and/or mobile phones are dominating the internet. More and more people buy these things because, just like what you said, they're very comfortable and intuitive. But I don't think it's going to be used for non internet (work) stuff as much. It'll definitely happen in the future in like, 5-10 years.
