I have been to Boracay last weekend and I really can tell that our country has so much to offer especially when it comes to beaches. The weather may have been bad and news that there were people died due to the big waves there, but it didn't stop a lot of foreigners from going and enjoying the beach of Boracay. While I was enjoying the waves and the white fine sands, I realize that Philippines has so much more to offer other than it's beaches. We also have a lot of beautiful places to visit like our oldest churches and houses, our cultural values and beliefs, the land marks of each city, our delicacies and most of all the fiestas we celebrate. Most of us have lists of places we wish to visit, and I bet, some of us have places outside the Philippines in their lists. There is so much to love about this country and I am proud to be one of the people who has seen it's beauty. I just hope we all can explore and patronize our own countries first before we go to other countries. This also goes to these not a Filipino citizen who gets to read this, patronize, explore and take care of the beauty your own country first before you go enjoy and explore other countries for this is also part of showing your love to your own country.

I definitely agree with you, friend. We should be proud of our culture and history that
molds our scenery around the archipelago. Our beaches and resorts here is a welcome adventure for tourist delight not to mention our various festivals, with colorful celebrations. The Christmas holiday here, which was known as the longest to be observe
here is also a tourist spot with fashioned Christmas trees from every cities in the Philippines. Our being too friendly and hospitable to foreign tourist, could become their welcome treat.I wish our tourism industry could also boom as we have been ripe to become an Asian Tiger, with Indonesia. We should help clean our environment and not just throwing away all sorts of rubbish around the places we have been leaving. We should always be honest at all times to allure the tourist to visit the Philippines,
as it was already transformed into an honest place,no more red tapes,no more bad elements.Mindanao was already a place of peace and order.Long live the Philippines!

I always keep this message that someday our environment are really clean. That our country men would already knew how to clean and preserve our beautiful landscapes,
lakes and beaches. That they would throw their garbage at a designated dump site, not just anywhere they go and so was there garbage.I do not know why they can make other countries, they have been a contract worker still clean when they leave the place where they gather! Why do they keep om making their beloved country a polluted sidewalk,a creek full of rubbish, writing in the walls, urinating just anywhere.i love this country,so we must make it clean and green, and beautiful. The question is when?

Very well said berting! In our own little ways, we really could help with preserving these beautiful places and even promote it through social medias and any other online sites. Let's just hope that we all learn to love and appreciate what we have before it's too late.

My son also visited Boracay some few weeks back and he could not stop talking about the beauty of this place. My whole family is planning to visit Boracay during summer and maybe some good friends will also go with us. I hope we can get a more affordable package tour.
The Philippines has a lot more to offer when it comes to beautiful places. Bohol, Palawan, Cebu are few of the locations we are also considering to visit this summer. I hope we can visit as many places as we could because it is only during summer that the weather is more cooperative.

Going in boracay as a group is good because you will really be able to avail some of their packages tour promos. But, summer is a peak season and prices there are very high during that season. However, going there during off-peak sometimes isn't good because our country has a lot of typhoons during the whole year. Palawan, Bohol and Cebu (my hometown) are indeed very good places to go to during summer. Be sure to take your camera with you because you will definitely love watching the pictures of those beautiful places in those said cities.

You are right we have so many beautiful places and some of it are not even popularly known yet to exist. There's one place in Roxas that we went to a couple of years ago that could only be accessed by a small boat and the place is full of colorful corals. There is also a mountain of solid rock in one of the towns there that is full of trees and an unexplored cave. Another unexplored beach somewhere in Mindanao was also shown on a noon time TV show whose white beaches and beauty could easily compete with Boracay. And the numerous beauty and wonders of Palawan that i wish i would be able to explore one day.

That's nice to hear. I haven't known we have those so called more hidden paradise in our country. I also do hope I could get to explore more of our country, not just those popular once, but those that are not yet developed as they are more beautiful and very much natural. Thanks for sharing!

We have that in mind, me and my husband to travel to the different parts of the Philippines, when our daughter will finally reach her 4th year in Medicine. And i hope it will indeed materialize.
But at the moment, we have to prioritize our daughter's studies.
Indeed, from just browsing the net, the Philippines has lots of beautiful places to visit. That is why, a lot of foreigners would like to retire here in the Philippines.

Of course, you have to prioritize your daughter's studies first. I'm sure she will be able to appreciate the beauty of the Philippines once she gets older. That is why we have to preserve and take care of these beautiful places for our children to be able to see it in the future.

I agree with you. Boracay is really a paradise. Not only the rich people can go there but also the poor ones. I was there last year and I stayed in an affordable cottage which is just near the crown regency hotel. I enjoyed so much though I was not there for a holiday but attended a general assembly at the herein mentioned hotel.

yes, the philippines has a lot to offer for tourists who are into so many things. the philippines has beautiful beaches, diverse food cuisines, hospitable people, interesting historic places, and many others. it is just a matter of promoting our places to the international market. thailand, malaysia and indonesia are doing well with their tourism industry than the philippines.

I couldn't agree more. And talking about it here in myLot or any website will help our country and government in their campaign to bring more tourists which is good for our economy.

That's the least I can do aside from the remittances whenever I send money home. At least I am doing something as a citizen of the Philippines.

hi there,
if given the chance to travel the world, first I would travel our country The Philippines. It's been my dream to travel the whole country. i have not been to Boracay. Boracay is the premiere destination here in our country. it's the number one tourist spot so I can imagine how serene Boracay is.
well if you would ask me,my dream destination here in the Philippines is Palawan, maybe in Coron. A lot of reviews in the TV and internet had been made and they said that it's like a paradise. I like to do island hopping there,to experience the pure white sand. Imagine how exciting it is to be there. WOW.

Yes, one of my to go list is Palawan as well. I really wish I could go there before the year ends, but, I guess I won't be able to do so because I still need to save more money. You should also go to Boracay, even if there are so many tourist there, you would still enjoy your stay there. We are helping our country promote tourism by simply going to those beautiful places and making sure we preserve it's beauty when we go there!

Yeah, I'm very proud of our country! And that beauty is all because of our omnipotent God! So, as a debt of gratitude, we must take care of it. :)
