For me, it's just like having your favorite song. Christmas songs are so hopeful and positive, some are dramatic but still full of hope. It's a season of no frowning. So for me it's not a problem. Celebrating Jesus Christ should be everyday.

I love your answer. Christmas songs are full of hope and joy. That's why I am attracted to them so much. Another thing is that my kids grew up listening to these songs with me, and they're all grown up now, so I guess the songs being full of memories of when they were little makes my nest seem a little less empty.

I don't listen to it all year long but sometimes I get in the mood and I'll listen to a few songs when I'm kicking back with my iTunes. I tend to save it more for that special time of year though. I like the traditional old songs by Bing Crosby, Burl Ives, Nat King Cole and others but I also like some of the non-conventional music too. I think one of the most beautiful Christmas songs is Silent Night by Enya sung in Gaelic. Some of the stuff by Mannheim Steamroller is pretty cool too. Well, it's getting on to that time of year anyway, so we'll all be hearing it before long.

I love the old classics best too. I like to listen to accuradio.com sometimes when I am working on other online stuff. It has many different types of Christmas music to listen to, and it's free.

I do not think it strange at all! I love to listen to Christmas carols anytime! Though I haven't done it for a while, and I think I'm about due! Yes, I will wait til evening and turn the lights down low to encourage a hushed and reverent atmosphere, and then listen to some favorite traditional reverent carols. After all, they are about our Lord and worshiping Him is a year round thing!

Exactly. Christmas music can create a very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere in an otherwise chaotic day. Thanks.

I very much like Christmas, but I wouldn't say that I would want to hear about it for the whole of year. I don't normally allow for myself to listen to Christmas music until December when everyone else has all of the Christmas lights up and I am able to get into the spirit of the season properly. I think that you should try to keep Christmas special, because this means that you would appreciate it a lot more when it came around. It is no fun if you can have it all of the time and it would mean that you don't have anything to look forward to.

True. I try to wait at least until I see Christmas stuff out in the stores to listen so much so it doesn't get to be just an everyday thing, or I will get tired of the music and it won't be as special.

I have a beautiful classical-style instrumental Christmas CD and it is so relaxing to listen to sometimes. I helps me "chill out" during the hottest part of summer.

I don't know if I could stand it all year round, but I do know that during the season when you are Christmas shopping or decorating your tree or wrapping gifts, it gives you that warm, feel-good sense about the Holiday, but I don't know about all year round. But no, I do not think that you are weird, people like what they like and if you enjoy listening to Christmas music then hey, more power to ya! =)

I try to hold off at least until I start to see Christmas stuff in the stores, because I don't want the Christmas music to lose its special holiday feeling, which it surely would if I played it too much.

I do not listen to it all the time, but I have certainly played Christmas tracks during the summer months before now. Not surprisingly I often get classified as weird as well, but that is hardly important to me because I am used to it.
I have an excellent Christmas CD by the Spanish tenor Plácido Domingo, which is really too good to be limited to a couple of weeks per year. I cannot understand why people find this so strange, I find it strange that they can really enjoy these songs for a couple weeks then cease to enjoy them for the rest of the year.

Being forced to listen to Christmas music at work during the holiday season is bearable. Listening to Christmas music all year is cruel and unusual punishment. I like that they play only during a certain time of the year, thats what makes them special.

It's true if you have to listen to music all day at work, you'd get tired of it pretty quick. I don't play mine at work, just once in awhile at home, but I do try to limit during the year so it still seems special at Christmas time.

I guess I understand why you want to listen to Christmas music all year, and sometimes, I listen to it too.
But I think it's a little weird. x_x don't you loose the Christmas atmosphere when it's -actually- Christmas already? I've no problem listening to songs over and over, but I guess I just like relating them to the season. :)
Because of this post, now I'm hearing jingle bells in my head. haha :D Cheers!
