To me, success is what you feel when your life is a working part of the machine of existence, working 'to capacity' (not necessarily 'working hard all the time,' but more like 'everything you wish for, you either know you could get it or you're happy without it').
I can't be more-specific if I don't know what you want an example (or a picture) of 'success' in. What kind of success are you looking for? ... a successful-- what kind of worker/entrepreneur?

Simple for ourselves, yeah; which take practice---practice of things which seem complex, like magic-tricks.
Or--talking with an old electrician-friend of mine--'electrician-work' (or whatever it is you want to be successful in) is kinda like 'playing a musical instrument': sure, there are all sorts of complicated things you have to figure out; but once you practice-practice-practice, it's all just 'keeping the flow natural'

More people will make definition about success if they see some one have many car and have big house with complete furniture. Although definition of success have more broader understanding and deeper. Success in life depends not only on the material but spiritual satisfaction in achieving the targets life is also what we call a success in life

Successful makes your dream come true. Successful when you have more money like a millionaire or even billionaire. Money makes you happy but do not use it as greedy. It is better to sher or give than to receive. If you have the money, just save it wisely. You can be successful.

Success has many meanings for each person depending on who's answering your question.
But basically, going back to the context meaning of success, success is described as the achievement of a person's goal/s. A very simple example of this is if you want to score a full 100 on a exam, and you have achieved that, you are then successful in achieving your want to get the 100 mark.
If we base that on a greater scale--an example is my goal. Which is to become financially independent and rich no matter what the state of the market is all over the world then I achieve that, then that is successful in that aspect. However, my real and true goal is happiness and if I am successful in becoming wealthy yet, if I have bad relationships with family members, then I am yet unsuccessful in achieving happiness but only in acquiring wealth. I can acquire wealth first, and make it my goal to mend my family relationship and achieved that, then I am successful in achieving my happiness. You have to understand, my goals are not the end but the means to do something greater.
Now, as for your question, how do I reach that goal of financial freedom (first)? That's simple enough, I must know everything about my goal first. My goal is around the world of money. Since I know only small bits of how money works, I invest my time and money in my number 1 asset that no one can ever take away from me. Me, my personality and my intelligence. I invest in knowing and learning what I can about how money works and what rich people know that the average and the poor know nothing about. I make it so that I am surrounded by goal-oriented people and not those who immediately lose without even trying at all. I write down my goals and make plans to achieve it. And once I do, I congratulate myself and move onto the next goal to reach the #1 Goal--which is financial freedom in this case. If I fail, I won't run away from it. I would learn from the experience and try again. Do take note that for one to become successful as soon as possible, the person has to fail as soon as possible--double time--too and learn from each mistake. In short, the person who is successful has a background of failures to back him up. A person who is a winner is the one who tried and tried and tried until he finally succeeded. That's why most winners are successful people. Have a personality that won't lose to anything and surely you'll succeed.

To be successful is being contented in what you have in your life. It's not just about having a lot of material possessions, it's only a small part in being successful, but I cherish the experience more. The relationships you built
and the challenges that you conquered. And most of all I want to make my parents proud of me. They are the ones who gave me the opportunity to be what i want to be. They've been there all my life and I want to repay them all that they gave me.
But this is just my 2 cents though. Every one of us is different.
Oh and of course, the only way to be successful is through God.

I think that there are far too many people who seem to think that the only way that they are able to be successful is if they are earning a lot of money. However, I don't think that money is everything at all. I think that money can help a little bit, but it is nowhere near the most important thing at all. You have to make sure that you're happy, and that your relationships with your family and friends are positive. If you can make this the case then you don't have to worry about your life because this is surely the only success that you need.

For me, I don't think that success has anything at all to do with the money that we are earning. Instead, I really think that the key to having a successful life is to be able to have positive relationships with those people around us. We need to have money in order to be able to survive, but in order to be happy and successful in our lives, we have to be able to have relationships with other people.
Being open and honest with others is one of the keys to success in our lives in my opinion.

hi there tedifa,
previously i used to define the word successful as when i am with my family and living with them happily. but due to some reasons and situations that happened, perhaps now i will define that word if i got all of those things that i am aspiring to have, that is to have my own home wherein i can be myself and feel happy, having my own car, and having my own business to manage. before, i just used to define that word as simple as having my family around me but, now, it does not matter anymore if they are around me or not. thus, having them at my side does not have a big difference if they are not around.

From what I could see cause I'm not 'succesful' my self in the way that the world put it: being rich and these type of stuff, they have passion for what they do, many started off as a hobby and they were so good that became leaders in their field. Now for me success is to be what we want as a person, it has nothing to do with money and fame, it's to achieve exactly what we wanted.

Hi,
The definition of success differs from individual to individual. Someone considers himself to be successful in making money, someone in love, someone in studies, someone in jog and so on. We should be satisfied with whatever we have and try to work honestly and try to become successful in everything.

To accomplish the reach to target is successful, be it a trying to win a race or purchasing a land in the moon or what ever else we target.

Every person has their own set of target or goal. And everybody tries to achieve that. For me when a person starts to complete a goal and moves toward next, then he or she is successful.
