The power of blogging

Hi mylotters!
Do you know what? I have discovered the power of blogging just by blogging my culinary experience.
I went to my friend's home one day. She was going to receive some guests and would make a demo on how to cook some traditional dishes. So, I shared about the culinary experience in my blog. Then something happened. Some students from our local university read my blog post and sent me an email, asking if we provide demo on how to prepare one local pickled food.
So, I told my neighbour, also my friend who is a homestay operator, about it and she said, "why not, let's try it"..so, I partnered with her and we did the demo successfully. We also earned our first "food demo" earnings. We substracted our expenses and the net we divide by two.
It was a great experience altogether. So now, both I and my friends are very motivated to spend more fun time doing food demo. That's the power of blogging!

But you know I don't consider myself as a success story yet. It is just the beginning for me. Hey, you can do it too, everyone can.

That's right myklops. Blogging is actually fun but we need to do it the proper way. Even though it takes time to write and churn out many ideas, but when you like doing the work, it doesn't matter whether you feel your blog is being recognized or not. That is how I do it. We cannot blog and hope to achieve an overnight success.

That's great. You have immediate succeeded in your blog. I had a blog but I didn't continue doing it because I only have a few viewers. So I decided to stop. Now that I read your discussion, it encourages me to go back to my blogging. Wish that I could make a good blog this time. Thanks to your discussion.

Hi pahak,
Perseverance is very important if we want to succeed in realizing our goals. Many times, I too got lazy and couldn't think of what and how to write about certain topics. We need ideas and present these ideas in a very creative way.
When I have an idea of what to write, I really spend time you know to draft it, then inject ideas, keep on tweaking it, before posting it in my blog. Even after posting it, if I see something needs to be changed, I keep on editing it until I think it's perfect.

I think maybe because I concentrate on just one topic, so it is easy to update my blog. I don't ramble about everything, I am not interested in sharing every little things that happen in my life but if it is related to my topic, I will share about it.
I started like 6 months ago and the highest number of postings I've made in a month is 7. Other months, I only have 3 and lesser postings. I got lazy too and didn't know what to share. I think it happens to everyone. So, the most important thing is to persevere. It is easy to get distracted when we surf the internet, isn't it?

Congratulations to you! I have also wanted to maintain a blog for a long time. I tried one in multiply and livejournal (well, I was really just cross-posting everything), but my last post was 2 years ago. I just can't seem to be able the right motivation. I hope your blog will be successful!
