My sister-in-law just found out that for as little as $300 she can have a 3 bedroom house, trailer house with other storage sheds on 2.98 acres. All she would have to do is upkeep on the properties and the land, they could make payment arrangements for it or all she would have to do is pay $300 every year for taxes. I've never had any thing like this offered to me ever! Before this her and her boyfriend lived in a 4 bedroom house out in the country and all they had to do was upkeep of the house and the land. Have you ever been given some thing that is too good to be true, but it really is?

Some people have all the luck in the world! It's probably not luck but just happen to know the right people.

It does sound too good to be true, I hope she is thoroughly going to investigate and read all the fine print before jumping into it.

may be there is written agreement or not. sometimes rich people they entrust property as a care taker or custodian for the time being. let us wish sister in law of our friend good luck.

Thank-you ravisivan! I've heard about people that have been care takers of people's property, but never knew anyone personally. I wish something like that would fall into my lap,as my husband and I are in hardship now. But I wish my sister-in-law the best in whatever she decides!

Your sister-in-law was very lucky to have such an opportunity to avail such house arrangements. The amount is P12,300+ in the Philippines, and it is really very good opportunity to have such house plan.I wish we have also a plan like that here so that I can also make myself a house like that.

That is amazing, what a break! Where does your sister in law live? I know sometimes people can get a great deal by living on property and caring for it, but that's a really low payment.... practically nothing. Does the owner own it outright? Speaking of too good to be true, yes I qualified for Boston (marathon) and I got into it. Since this happened, all I hear about is how people try for years to qualify and get in. I didn't think it was possible.

My sister-in-law lives in Nebraska (the same town as my husband and I). The owner has it all paid for except for the taxes every year. The owner and her husband have another place and couldn't keep doing the upkeep on this place. Congratulations on qualifying for the Boston marathon! I've heard that also, that it has taken a coouple of years for people to qualify for.

Upkeep for a house trailer isn't all so cheap really. I owned one at one time. The pipes froze one winter and having that repaired was an added expense I could hardly afford. Had to get insurance, of course, and follow those guidelines, tie downs, underpinning, etc. And, as you mentioned, taxes.

And, no, I've never received an offer that seemed too good to be true. Seems like there are always some kind of strings attached. I hope that surely the deal you mention turns out favorable for all concerned.

I've heard of these types of things coming up on occasion. Never happen to me and my family though. We've tried searching for something like that but nothing we've found ever pans out. It is nice that some people can have this type of thing happen for them though.

I know, huh, it would be great if the opportunities came our way! I guess everything happens for a reason!

Wow!! Most people would give anything to be offered something like this, as this would be a Dream come true. I know you see times on sites like Craigslist where people are wanting something like this just to have a place to sleep. They must be good handymen, and people to be trusted. This is a Great deal indeed.

I know, it sounded to good to be true, but apparently it's on the up and up. I've never had any offer like that, the only thing I ever got was one time I won a beach towel and another time won a contest to have my picture taken.

Wow, that's a deal. My severance from my last company was pretty darn good. A year's pay plus they pay my insurance for a year, and they paid for me to see a job coach. Most companies don't put themselves out that much when they lay somebody off.

That sounds like a great arrangement for your sister-in-law. Given that this isn't the first time that she has had a good offer like this, it sounds like she and her boyfriend have managed to build up a wealth of connections there.

Where is that wonder!!! I guess I`m not the person to get those kind of deals although I`ve been lucky in other aspects of life. Still, I live in a lovely house that I own, but we worked hard to place every nail and brick it has.

The upkeep on the house and land could be a bit pricy. My dad gave me hidden house. I also got the payments which were only $208 another. After divorcing I couldn't keep up. The well pump quit. The ceilings started falling down. Those were those drop ceilings. Dad didn't finish boxing on the eaves and rain came in and rotted the ceiling in our living room so that they started falling down. I couldn't keep up with repairs with no spouse helping me. It was a beautiful home, but everything wasn't finished cause dad was on his 70s when he built the house. I think he just hot tired and didn't feel like doing the finishing work. I said all that to day that I couldn't manage, though the payments were so low. Still with utilities and other living expenses I quickly got behind to the point that I lost it.

It happens due to the luck of the person concerned and also because of the need of the other party. they need some people to take care. Instead they permit your sister in law to enjoy the property. it is fine. But when they need it back they will request your sister in law to give and she must be prepared for it. these offers one gets due to luck and also due to contacts. not everybody can get such offers. Otherwise two bed room flat itself costs 41500 per month.

Wow, that is lucky. Wish to find a good deal like that here in Canada, we are taxed so much, when you own a house. Looking forward to find another home in the country and not paying as much in taxes and electricity .

Wow. wish I had a good deal like that. Here in Canada they are really good to tax you too much. We are searching for a good cheap deal, we want to go back in the country, but you should see the township taxes how high it is.

That was really a classic example of things that comes in proper timing. Though I havent experience receiving that kind, in material value. I have those free rides and free meals in a luxurious type of accomodation, that was a year ago when we are given a free trip to a neighboring country. I had so much fun back then. Hope I can receive that kindd in the future. I'll pray for it. Thanks

That is amazing! I have never had any good luck like that and good for her. She can save a lot of money and put the money towards her own home one day. Some people are just lucky that way:)
