The lady I have been working with always whines and complains about working. When we go to close she always screws up.
Such as tonight she kept saying she is always tired from working, and they give ridiculous hours. She works Wednesday, Thursday, and Fridays 9am - 8pm (I believe Wednesdays she works 9am - 3pm), and Saturdays 9am - 6pm.
To me this isnt bad, and I use to work 6 days a week midnights 12 hours shifts, plus 2 other jobs ontop of that. So I've told I can function on next to no sleep, and do a decent job (I did it for 8 years).
I asked what she was doing after work, she goes bed time. She keeps trying to pawn her Saturday shifts onto me but I dont have a key. I told her I dont mind helping her out, and taking shifts but they wont allow it all the time.

That's only an excuse. I did a job for a year without any day off. I work from 10am until 12 midnight. I was so tired it's because when I reach my room I do some stuff online. I was busy attending my own site. I complain to my Boss that I was very tired. Of course I wasn't. I just want to enjoy myself only surfing the net.

At my job they don't allow it at all. If a key carrying person asks a non - key carrying perosn to cover for them... well they can't do that. People in that position do have more hours and maybe that's something she's gotten tired of. If she cant' get fewer hours with the same position, then maybe she needs to step down.

Sounds like she might need to talk to the boss about cutting her hours back. I used to work around people like that although they were mainly kids complaining about EVERYTHING under the sun, even things that don't have anything to do with them or affect them in anyway. But yes I agree it sounds like she does work too many hours and can't handle it but doesn't want to say anything to the supervisor. Tell her to speak up. things aren't ever going to change unless she does something about it. :)
