Finally I'm back!

Just had internet connection problems for the whole week :] Our internet service provider (SmartBro) sent their technical men today and found out our found out that our adapter's already defective =))) It took them a week to visit @.@ but it's ok =) what to do next?:) Rebate for the days of internet unavailability! lol i missed mylot =] sorry for not being able to reply comments,friend requests and inbox messages :)) wee!

I don't have the same provider but I know the feeling! Been having several issues with my internet also! The people at the company are so stingy though and unhelpful.. or atleast I thought. Was without internet for a little over a week with it coming back up for maybe 15 mins then going back down for the night again! It was outrageous. Our rebate for it was only $3 for 1 day. Definately switching providers soon! But glad you're back on :P

I am glad to hear you got a rebate from your provider. Here in the Philippines, even after a month of no internet connection our provider didn't even gave us a cent of rebate! It is not only outrageous but incredible...

That's INSANE! Lol, and to think I was throwing a fit that they were only giving me a $3 rebate. I just think it's bulls**t if you're paying for a service and you're not receiving it. I don't want to pay for something that I can't even use. Ya know?

Aw.. it was the technical men who told me to call the customer line again, but they reminded me to observe my connection for 24 hours first. :) Yeah less that 24hours since the new adapter, indeed I was having problems again :D lol! I will still try to contact them again, maybe they could check on my antenna or what. :) haha @ Sarah thanks for the welcome ;) With this issue, just happy enough the customer service aren't stingy. Was able to reach the line immediately. Only the day of visitation took time @.@

Hi, So that was the reason for your being away here. Good thing you're finally back. You check out a couple of my free verses posted as responses somewhere here. Your ISP is a good one, it is fast, efficient and user friendly. You should ask for a rebate for the lost online time, or I don't think they really care about that. I understand you have a postpaid plan so you should see into it.

I've never heard anyone got rebates for their service interruptions here in the country. All internet providers turn deaf ears on this issues.

I will try to ask. It was the technical men who told me to call the customer service again and ask for this rebate thing. :D haha I haven't called yet. I'm still monitoring my connection-sad to say it's still an on and off connectivity :( I'd update both of you as soon as I get rebates or not :D

Welcome back to myLot Meowchie. :) It's good to know that you already have your internet connection right now so you could participate here in myLot again. I also don't like it whenever we have some internet problems in our own home. It's good that they were already able to fix the problem and maybe they already replaced your defective adapter. It's also good that you know what to do when you didn't have your internet connection for some days, that is to ask for rebate because you were not able to access and use your internet. Maybe other people don't ask for that one just like my other sister. Maybe I would also ask her to do that next time so the price that she would pay for the internet would be reasonable especially when there is really a problem or difficulty in using it. Let's just enjoy using the internet while our connections are good. Just enjoy myLotting again too. Have a happy weekend. :)

Thanks a lot Ms. Lady.I can still live without internet, but there are few habits from internet (count mylot in!) lol. =) It's good to be staying on sites like this, learning especially from good and decent professionals. :) It's learning away from school :) Thanks for sharing =) I have not called for rebates yet, but surely will update you if the company grants my request on not.. I had some problems with our internet service too and was off for about a week, maybe the government is taking control of the internet waves?Anyway glad you're back and I'm trying to get reimbursed too for the time I wasn't able to use their service. I paid for it and didn't get the service I paid for!

Whaahhh.. this is going to be my first time attempting to ask for rebate :S Yes I got a prepaid line too. It's paid even before the period is done lol! :) Will try to ask, and would hope a little too ^^ Thanks for sharing pretty ladies ;)

Hi and welcome back! The issue on our internet providers' services really sucks! Rebates? Don't know, cause I haven't received even a cent up to now... All my request goes on deaf ears and hard to reach customer relations' phone.

Better I shift to another service provider which is dsl of PLDT. I used SmartBro before for more than 3 years and sometimes I am annoyed with their service, when heavy rains comes the connection will slow down like crawling in the ground. But because I am away from home, I used Globe tattoo for my internet service but not everyday. I only used once in awhile while I am staying here in Metro Manila. Next month I will be active again after I arrive in my country destination.

hi meowhie mine was a computer problem with a bad video card so finally got a new one ,.took us a week to find the problem and get the video card as my son had to work except on the weekends. so I missed a lot and was so behind.

aww so it wasn't just me being left behind, glad we're both back haha! =) I think my cpu needs to be replaced too. It works so slow lately :( but it's ok for now, as long as I can still use it. I just wish I won't be off again too long ^^ happy mylotting and see you around =)

We had the same problem with our router but ours only lasted a day and a half. They figured ours out over the phone some how our router got disconnect and so they reconnected it and cleaned it out which is good. This is the 3rd time it's happened to us and the first few times they sent a tech guy out. I was on the phone with them for 2 hours trying to figure it out. We go thru time warner cable.

Wahaha :D I actually hate that protocols of customer service. When you call them, they instruct you first this, that, plug,unplug, etc etc.. There was one time, I told them- can you just set a schedule for your tech. group to visit my place? I have been doing the same thing for 10x but it doesn't work. Then he just said, yes ma'am ok we will set schedule immediately. lol =D We have a router too, so upon figuring out what's wrong- router adds up to confusion lol! But they said it's adapter, upon replacing it, in less than 24 hours my internet is still on and off. They should have check my antenna too :(

Maybe you can try to shift to another internet provider specially if you lost your connection quiet often. some providers they just saying they gonna fix it but still stuck. their costumer service sometimes so hard to contact. that makes me sick.. Happy mylotting!

ouch :( yes I will try too. Because you see, less than 24 hours since they've changed adapter, I am having problem again. It's an ouchie.. I noticed they did not even checked on our antenna :( Happy Mylotting!:)
