To be on Social Networking site or on Article Writing Sites

Hi sriroshan! Although we can stay with writing sites, it is still necessary that we interact with our friends on on other networking sites, especially facebook. So I would see to it that I log in to my account every now and then so that I could also have some time with my friends. I could also promote my links to these sites for free.

This all depends which of either or both you use. This is true for a couple of article sites I can think of because one of teh only ways you can get the views is through writing more articles to be seen because the older ones just don't get views - Unless you advently promote them. So your time is better spent on that article site writing as much as possible, which I have grown to dislike greatly. Especially since I have found an innovative article site that does not require this. Along with that I enjoy my time here in myLot. I don't consider this a "social network" but my time writing here is betters spent because I am having fun. Online earning doesn't need to be a grind if you're having fun. On a side note though my time spent on one social network is well spent as well. But that is not for every social network. This specific one that I use is becoming my business so I need to use it and promote it and do things to generate income ... so on like that. So it depends on the site not just the person. I agree. Article Writing sites are about 'money for good content.' Social Networks (even the ones that claim to pay their members) are about 'making connections.' I use Social Networks to 'make connections' to readers (past- & future-) of my 'Article Writing site'-articles. You can use a tool like 'AddThis' to spread your article-links to your social-networks (Search-the-Web it to see if it'll work for your browser too!)

Hi. I think we should keep balance between two if we are good at writing articles. I mean time management should be there. If you are online for two hours then you can give one hour for social networking and other hour for article writing. As you mentioned everyone is not a writer so we should choose what we have to do. Can I do both? Seriously, I agree with you. SOme people just want to write for the sake of writing, as a hobby, as a means to socialize or express their thoughts and feelings. Maybe they do not need to earn the extra money and writing makes them happy. Nobody can dictate or tell them what they should or shouldn't do, where to write or not to write. All of us have different reasons for writing or for getting on social networking sites. And that is okay; no two people think the same and all of us should respect each others' points of view.

Hi! Sriroshan, Both are equally important. Writing good quality articles is not enough for us to get success. It can be published to the world. We can get good suggestions and reviews only through social media. It gives us the idea about What we have to write next. It gives some inspiration to move ahead. It's not at all a waste of time on social networking sites. The next thing is participating in forum discussions also gives us the best results. Keep smiling and good luck.

Not everyone uses soical networking sites the same... For example; I do have a facebook page; this is where I can communicate with my family and close friends.. Or even just finding out how they are doing these days.. Life is moving so fast it is hard to just pick up the phone and call a friend and catch up.. I am online part time I have some responsiblities that can not be avoided offline... I like the article writing sites because I am able to write.. I love to write and earn a little money on the side for it.. Also with me keeping them separate I am able to write about certain things that I would proably never discuss openly on a social networking site...

Why have to choose when we could used both? We write articles on writing site and promote it on social networking site.

hi there, with regard to your post, well it is really nice to post your written article on a site where you can be paid. however, in my end here, i will have both, that is to be on a social networking site and at the same time to be at article writing site. as both of it are beneficial.

personally doing the stuffs to a social networking site is good but I ca say that number one priority should be on creating money. well social networking sites acts as a promotion flat forms for us who are looking for some referrals.

Well im a very active member of one social site that pays me. Ive been with that site for over 16 months now. Im not there for the money. Im there for all the good people I meet there. We are able to chat, share photos and videos there. Far more valuable than any money I make there. But the bonus is a few dollars each month.

Each have a reason why she goes into writing. One might be for financial reason , if you are just a good writer , grammatically excellent then huge amount of money awaits for you . Another reason is for personal , such as you want to write because it is a therapy for her , it is her solace , it is her vent or it is really her interest and hobby. It could also be her reason is for both , she wants to earn out from her hobby and expression in life. Shouting to the world her angst and luck at same time making money out from it , isn't it so beautiful ? Writing is such a very beautiful ,it can heal a wounded soul , it can guide a confuse soul and it can lift a weak spirit.

Yes, I agree with you. I myself really can not write a very long article in a day. I feel bored when I do that. I always log on networking sites because I want to be updated with my friends most especially that we are very far with each other.Of course, those who can be full time here can do that.

I do both...writing and commenting on social networking sites.The writing sites cannot keep you occupied all the time and sometimes, you may not be upto writing the subject requested.In such cases the social networking sites are places that provide you an outlet and refresh you to proceed with your job:)

I only use social networking sites to promote my writing so I can earn extra money, I'm not really active on my facebook, I use Twitter to link my articles.

Thanks for sharing this discussion. Well yes u are absolutely correct, the level of productivity lies in spending more time on article writing sites that can pay off in the long run. No doubt social networking sites are good way of socializing with others but spending a lot of time on these sites comes as a cropper. It is advisable to spend quality time on article writing sites and in the process earn also. What say?
