Ungrateful

That what makes this site so great.. There are so many different people from all walks of life on here.. That is a gold mine in my opinion.. Sharing new ideas, explaining the old and supporting one another... Now do I think we all should get along a play nice all of the time.. NO!! Thats never going to happen we are different have strong opinions about certian things... and will not change our minds.. Thats cool.. I do not think it is right for someone to attack someone else for any reason!! You can express yourself strongly mad whatever; thats everyones right! But to put it on someone else is wrong!! I havent been getting any email notifications either.. Hopefully they can fix that soon..

I am ok now.. I was just upset with what was said.. granted when I wrote the discussion there was proably more to it.. Then it doesnt help that my words were not totally right and conflicting.. Just dont think people should attack people when there trying to help.. It reminds me of things and its not a place I choose to go on this discussion; its off subject..

Oh i wasn't meaning that last little bit about you "calm down" I was meaning for this other person who wrote this: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2710465.aspx That's the person i was talking about. I'm unsure if you're talking about the same one or not. He had written a discussion a few days ago about indian government conspiracy trying to poison his food or something and got some helpful response then comes back with that one up there. Crazy guy...

New users should not be able to see any discussions that are violating the guidelines, not just those where there is abuse. Those topics with referral links, plagiarised content or whatever else should all be reported as they are all violations. There are no good or bad violations. They are either violations or they are not and we should help out by reporting anything which should not be here. Admin will then decide whether to remove it or not.

Yes we could do that.. But... I am not sure how much you understand about computers and networking... All of the disscusions that have ever been written is saved.. They are not deleted, and yes you can still respond to them.. There are over 200,000+ users on this site at any given time.. You you can just imagine the about of discussions that are actually out there.. First thing bad discussions take up space, granted there are proably several 100s of servers that are used for mylot, and most of the information is proably backed up (meaning lots of spaced wasted on negative discussions) thus the admins have to spend more money on more servers, there for that money doesnt come to us mylotters.. I would rather take the time to report bad discussions and possible have more cash in my pocket or my friends because we can follow rules and regulations; second if new users see that partical post within their first ten posts they may draw the wrong conculsions of this site.. Meaning they could either leave because they disagree or figure its ok.. Regardless of what the regulations may state... This hurts the integity of the site.. But for the most part I dont say anything when the converstation is tip toeing on the lines.. I mean it is easy to start saying stuff that is not right.. but it was clearly all over this discussion.. and the comments made by the author to other mylotters.. Its just not cool in my book.. Yes this is true.. I will start reporting all content that is against the rules. Now I understand where you are coming from.. I didnt totally understand before;-)

Yes it was that discussion.. It caught my eye when I was trying to find something new to write about very early this morning... I actually walked away from my computer for a couple mintues and then came back and reread the discussion.. I wanted to make sure I was reading the discussion for what it was and not something else.. I am not quite sure when the admin is on or off.. It is possible the discussion could be gone sooner.. Yes it would be nice if that person came on and aployized for been rude.. and explain his problem better so othrers can help him... I would respond too. I really enjoy helping people; I have been through quite a bit in life and would rather share my experinces as a learning tool then dwelling on it.... And sometimes I learn something new which is awesome!!!

i agree about how good helping someone with a problem is. it costs nothing to show a bit of warmth and human kindness.

Yes Thank you! I was just trying to get that acrossed.. I would rather have mylot full of people that know how to respect people; and not full of people that just do not understand that people do not need to be treated poorly..

Well said flydog and welcome to mylot;-) These discussions at least from my own experince do not come up too often.. Just really had a problem with that one the other night.. I would agree it is in a sense a duty; its like keeping trash picked up from the yard.. So everything looks nice as people swing by.. Show people that it is a new place to be.. I know that if some newer members seen that post it might of discouraged them from continuing to come back...

Yes it is that persons lost; turning away help is not something that I would do at least not on purpose.. Thank you for your comment;-)

Thats one way to handle it, not melding in someone elses affairs.. Not trying to be mean or anything like that.. Everyone has their own ways on here which is cool...

Now if you disagree with what the person is writing... Its kind of hard to explain so bear with me please.. Ok we are having a chat about the color of the sky for example.. You say the color of the sky is royal blue, I say its baby blue.. and we disscused it... in the end we can not solve our difference of opinion.. Thats totally cool.. Whats not cool is if one of us (example remember) sit there and say words that are a personal attack on you, putting you down, degrading you... THATS WRONG AND I WILL REPORT IT!! but a simple disagreement over the details of a subject is great.. This creates a debate which creates more interaction and we all get paid more $$.. But we can walk away from the computer may be a little frustrated that we couldnt agree... But not hurt or degraded.. Hope that clears things up for you ;-)

I have found though my own experinces when something needs to change the first person that I should look at is myself.. I thought I was doing the right thing.. Mylot is a great site; and I hope it sticks around for a very long time.. Just following my instincts.. Letting people know what happen and how I felt about it.. So then maybe someone that has the same tendences or had did that in the past they may change the way they express themselves on here.. Over all its not right and not needed here...

First of all welcome to Mylot!! This is a really great site to interact with many people all over the world.. There are so many opporunities to learn how others live, what they believe in, and lots of extra things.. The best advice I could give you would be have fun, just be respectful of others.. All of us will not agree about the same things all of the time which is great, can cause some health discussions/debates.. Happy Mylotting;-)
