I have visited several sites. Many of them are very impressive, even addictive. Several pay you decent for small tasks or anything for that matter. But is there a single site that can be used to make a living?

To make a living needs a consistent long time work. But unfortunately most sites don't last that long. Better strategy should be, we should have 3 or 4 streams of income online so that even if one suddenly stops paying we can manage. And most of the online opportunities are "business opportunities" and not "jobs". (Online jobs pay measly amount or peanuts.) Business, needs promotion and a minimum amount of spend. There are few good opportunities that pay well if we start promoting. Ironically, some junk sites too turn to be good earner. Most HYIPs, cyclers, matrix sites fall under this category.

As far as I've seen, TrafficWave.net, SkinnyFibre.com, Stiforp.com are some good business opportunities, but all of these have monthly fees. If you can promote vividly i believe all of these can be good earners. I'm not into any of these, as I'm not yet prepared for a monthly commitment. But I've read good reviews.

It really depends on how much you would need for your daily needs. Personally, if you don't need that much, then I would suggest Hubpages. I see people earning hundreds and even thousands of dollars a month. But I must warn you that they've done this consistently for a number of years and they have many articles on the website.

But Hubpages are not for Indians, right?

I'm not aware of that. I thought Hubpages accepts everybody and has no restrictions. But I haven't been on the site for quite a while so it might have changed its requirements.

I would like to check this. However the last time I checked it, they did not accept people from India.

if you are a skilled person, like life is in online, skilled in doing WebSites, software developer, or even skilled in some specific computer language (ex. C/C++, PHP, Java anything related to programming) you have a lot of place in the net, one good example is Odesk.com some of my friends working in that site, they're few of them now maintaining sites already and some are doing software, animation and earning an average of 100-150 per project and it can be done in 2-3 days..

Yes. I know about oDesk and even Elance for that matter. Unfortunately the offers from there have not been very lucrative. Also, there is no long-term guarantee.

it's been a while i have been doing the same search but with no luck, i don't think there are any online sites with which u can earn your living the only way is make a profile on odesk and apply for the data entry jobs, making a reputation on odesk is the toughest part once u have a good reputation u'll start getting jobs.

Yes. I feel the same about oDesk. Making a reputation is the biggest issue.
