How to recover folders turned into files on windows 7

I had some folders on my external hard drive and for some reason or another they have been turned into unknown files and I can't access them either. I've tried some type anti virus and it didn't do the job, any help?

naveed00 try using kaspersky antivirus, if it doesn't help then you might have lost your files just get a new windows installed

naveed00 34 is not an old age, rather its an age when you are at the peak of your health, you might be having some sort of weakness try some multi vitamins or calcium tablets or get yourself check by a doctor.

naveed00 i am using topline but never had such an experience, the point system is very slow and there is no way to get around it, it slows your browser speed aswell. In 15 day i have only earned 560 points and its not worth the trouble so i am thinking to delete it.

naveed00 websites recognize your country by tracking your IP address, you can hide it by faking your IP address which can be done through a small software called hotspot shield which you can easily find online through google.
