Hi mylotters!
Do you believe that dogs can see ghosts?
Where I come from many people do believe this. I do believe this too.
You will know that dogs see spirits roaming nearby you when you hear them howling like the wolves always do in the jungle.
Once, I joined a retreat, which was held at a place located at the foot of a mountain. I've always heard people saying that the place is visited by many ghosts at night. When I stayed there, the dogs would start howling at about midnight. It went on almost every night and for several hours. I and my friends were there, for the whole retreat session. Thankfully, as there were many of us, I wasn't feeling scared at all.
What do you think mylotters? Do you agree that dogs can see spirits or ghosts?

No, dogs lack the imagination to delude themselves into seeing things that are not there
Dogs and wolves howl for several reasons, to warn the pack of danger, to assemble the pack, to form and strengthen pack bond, to warn other packs that this territory is owned
all the best

"They see things as they see them and react according to their natural instincts."
That is correct, they see what is there, not imaginary things, their senses and reactions are entirely natural and superb but not supernatural
Wolves are more than dogs, being, with the possible exception of Border Collies, far more intelligent but like dogs their senses are natural and they howl for natural instinctive reasons stimulated by their natural senses.
To imagine that dogs or wolves see spirits is wishful thinking on your part and a speculation for which you have no evidence
all the best, urban

Dogs do not go to school. They don't understand what imagination is all about. They see things as they see them and react according to their natural instincts.
Well, maybe it's true that wolves howl to do the things that you've mentioned above. But they're also dogs..wild dogs, to be specific. So, I think they're are no different from our modern dogs. They too howl because they see spirits in the jungle. I know there are spirits in the jungle. I'll share this in my new posting later.

yeah i believe that dogs can see spirits. I would like to share my dogs experience with it. One day I was sitting in our front porch and waiting for hubby to come home. it was like something past 12am. That time I had my dog and he was a puppy. So he was sitting there on the porch also. At that time there is oin drop silent in the village since everyone sleeps early by 10pm-11pm.. all of a sudden my puppy is barking at just thin air. I could see that he was looking at one place only and as if somebody is there. He barked and then he would whine. then getting scared and running inside the house. I called him but he was looking at the same place and then looking at me and then crying. I knew that he has seen some spirit. Got got up and went inside.
Thanks so sharing and have a wonderful day ahead

Only a puppy but already acting so brave!
You mentioned that your puppy kept looking at the "thing" and also started crying after a while. Do you think that it got scared?
I must get more dogs. They're absolutely loving animals. Sometimes more loving than a human being. Ooops...
Happy mylotting!

I don't believe myself but many people telling their story about their dogs. Their beliefs supported by different writings, TV shows and also movies.
I don't know if it is true because we cannot ask the dog if they really see ghots. Dog don't talk.

Yes, it is true that dogs don't talk.
But that doesn't mean we don't understand them.
Why do we always hear people say "Dogs are man's best friend"?
It is because we see how loyal and obedient they are to their masters.
When there's a snake trying to attack you, dogs are the first to warn you by barking loudly. You don't understand what they "bark" about but you do know that it is trying to warn you, "danger, danger! watch out!".
So, it is the same in this topic. Dogs howl for a reason, not because they want or like to do it. They just act according to their natural instincts.

Thanks for posting this discussion. Well yes i do believe that dogs can see ghosts and spirits around them. They are very powerful and intelligent animals on earth and that is the reason they are very much extensively used in investigating the criminal cases. They have very strong senses and usually whenever they see ghosts or spirits they bark very loudly in an unusual way.
What say?

Howling low and high-pitch are dogs ways of telling us, there are spirits roaming around us. I will immediately say my prayer when this happens.
Dogs are indeed man's bestfriend. I used to have many dogs and always get brokenhearted whenever they die. Dogs are incredibly loyal to their master.

Not sure if they can, but I know dogs feel earthquakes long before we do. I lived through a big one once and dog went crazy 30 seconds before I felt it. they are smart animals.

It is not just dogs that react when there is an impending earthquake. The fish in the ocean, birds in the air, animals and insects on dry land feel it too.
That's why some people say, if you go into a jungle and you don't hear any birds' or other animals' sounds, when you find a place becomes all of a sudden surprisingly quiet, it is a sign that a great danger is coming.

I also believe on those things. Because I know dogs has a strong sense, like smelling. and also sense of seeing. So I know whenever they howl they sense something. even things that a human eye can't see and feel.
