The Nobel Prize is one of the most famous prizes in the world. It including many aspects, such as the peace, chemistry, physics etc. However, there is no maths. I wonder why. As maths is one of the most important subjects and I don't understand why it is unavailable in the Nobel Prize.

I think, probably because math is too theoretical than the other aspect, such as the peace, chemistry, physics, economic etc, which has practical benefits.

That may be true. But there is a pattern and structure in everything in life starting from human cells and DNA, which denotes continuity and some sort of much more complex equation at work.So it is indeed food for thought that maths does not have a place in Nobel Prize:)

Until now I only knew that the Nobel Prize is only awarded to the meritorious in peace alone. Apparently Nobel Prize given also in various aspects. I know it from this discussion. Thank you friends over the info.
I think maybe math is not selected in the Nobel categories, or rather not put in a category prize may be too difficult to describe due to the discovery of assessment in mathematics. Or maybe for the jury assess if math does not bring great influence to change mankind.
Not an easy thing to provide a major award like the Nobel Prize that is recognized by all of humanity. Required an accurate assessment to incorporate math into the category prize in the future. Nobel award is one of the most prestigious awards in the world
