The Philippine Govt. has again extended their arms this time with MILF troops for peace in mindanao. Part of the agreement is the decomissioning of arms of the MILF troops and the MILF is task to go after the leaders of known terrorists/bandits of other groups and surrender them to the govt. cotabato and some other places were added under the bangsamoro, but a plebiscite is said to be conducted to find out if the locals would want to join the said new governance. i dunno about this, much as i really want to believe in and trust the MILF sincerity, i always have doubts when it comes to these people. Whether MILF,MNLF,BIFF, they are the same. They are out there to terorrize people. This is the nth time the government made peace with these group. Before, it was under Misuari, it failed and millions of pesos were corrupt and it made the places more poorer than ever. Why is it other muslim countries are progressive and well descipline compared to what we have in the philippines. The local govt of muslim areas should be held responsible for any insurgencies that would occur under their jurisdiction. Thats exactly why we have LGU's and obviously these said LGU's are not doing their jobs. We always wanted to give PEACE a chance but only offered to deserving ones! not these breed of terrorists.

I dunno if the government will succeed to their aim. I live in Mindanao and raised their until now. The Muslims must act serious with regards to this accomplishments. If they are selfish, the hardwork of our peace panel will wasted and again it will turn into war again in Mindanao.
Lots of Muslims agree about this matter but we can't avoid there are also opposed the agreement. It means they are divided by principle so the result, they aren't unite so misunderstanding will be happen later on.

I always believe that giving peace a chance is a good choice than not giving it all. I think MILF tried to bid independence but now they realized they are dreaming quite hard since historically they are part of our country and it is hard and uphill struggle for them to achieve this. I think the amicable decommissioning of arms is a necessity to prove their sincerity and of course for those that are in the rank and file for the movement that is hard to accept since they were the once that were exposed to the harshness of battle.
I think the people of Mindanao deserves to enjoy the progress they needed but because of the insurgency and armed conflict it is being stalled. The autonomy of the Muslim to govern according to their tradition and beliefs should be respected and be allowed since they are the original settlers of the land and they should be given autonomy to implement it according to their laws. But they still need to follow the Philippine constitution of course. LGUs cannot really stop it by themselves of course with a few thousands of police force on their hands and most their constituents are supportive of the rebel movement at some point you cannot blame it with the LGUs to stop and curb the rebellion.

Who wouldnt want peace, we all do. especially I am from mindanao. i still believe LGU's plays a big role in addressing peace and order in their respective community. But these places under the ARMM or now called Bangsamoro had never progressed and i blame the LGU's for this, NOT the national govt. these places are not only funded by the national govt but also by arab countries, but they are still the poorest places in the philippines, despite the help of past administrations. Now, youre saying they want to be respected for their beliefs? Well, if they want respect, they should also respect humanity. just because killing or terrorizing people is their belief, we would just let them be? They have already been given autonomy, but they dint do anything to alleviate the living condition of their community. If i were the govt they should arrest misuari for the failure of the peace process before. people in manila should try to live in mindanao before they can meet an agreement with these terrorists. only people in mindanao know them better than leonen et al.
