Worldwide WIFI for free... Great idea??

Would it be really great if the whole world has free wifi connectivity?? Well, for me, it's kind of a dream that anywhere I go, i'll be able to connect to the internet for free without hassle.. However, this may pose a problem on privacy and security. But I think solutions can be made toward this problem.
Just imagine bringing your laptop anywhere and not looking for hot spots anymore. You are just readily connected to the world wide web anytime anywhere.
I know some cities have already implemented wide range of WiFi but here in the Philippines, only Makati City has a proposal. The rest of the country, well, uh, not really.. We have to stay close to bag stores, malls and other establishments to get a chance of searching for free wifi connections.. This is quite hard but we can live by that for now.
We actually have wifi here at homeand it is very convenient. What more if it is the whole world?? That would be extremely amazing.. Imagine, mylotting all you want anywhere in the world and connecting with friends hassle-free.... Whew!!!

I this this could be remain a dream to all people worldwide. But if that is possible, that would be great. I will always bring my laptop everywhere I go. In the place where I leave now here in Manila my Lappy didn't detect any connection outside. 
I am only dependent with my prepaid Tattoo which is costly if I load everyday. I have connection in our home but I am away and maybe this month I fly again abroad. Hope I can find immediate connection when I arrive in Qatar.

This sounds tempting, but wifi is not the most secure connection as you well know. If you are going anywhere and everywhere all over the world, you will quite possibly get parasites in your connection. I can only say that you take your chances with wifi and even broadband, but hopefully you are prepared for anything if you choose worldwide wifi. I almost never use wifi. But, I would like to have it in some places.

oh that day is not far that it will be free i guess. have a feeling about it. I think is will be the best thing. Wow just think, it will be so good. I am waiting for this day..
