An Update From A Not So Expert

It’s been more or less 5 months since my last log in to Experts Column. I was invited by one of our myLotters’ friend here, Vid to join the site. I started with a few articles and was able to make some friends from the site. I also enjoy the site especially that they have a chat feature. But not long after I joined the site, I was also called for the training so I became very busy and I was not able to log in and update my account.
Although I am not active with the site, I am constantly receiving email notifications from the experts. So yesterday, I tried to look for my note pad where I had written my log in details to all my sites and I tried to log in again. That was a successful attempt. I was glad to see the new design, more organized front page and my articles were there including the comments they had received from other members. I also noticed that my earnings went up even I was not able to log in for that long. I was so glad.
As of now I am planning to continue my activities with the site and I hope I would be successful on it as I am with myLot.
I know some members are also members of that site, perhaps you can share some updates too.

Looks like you got the real stuff like joining expert column. Its article writting by which you can earn while sleeping or being offline. Wish you write bunches of articles in EC and earn bunches of dollars. TC

Hi kash! I am just trying my luck. I am not an expert writer that is why it took me a long time in order to compose a simple article. But there is no harm in trying.

Well, as far as I know, you can write about anything as long as it is an original article. So personally, I would write about life experiences and tips on fellow online workers.

Does EC provide any topic about which they want an article and about which I can make an article?

Hi. I have the same the problem which you were facing. After an year I had submitted my article 2 days back and its under review. I don't get time to write on EC as most of time I spent here on mylot. So I hope you can balance between two. Cheers.

Hi. It's really good to hear that you are having time balance. But when I would go to write on EC then some discussion pop out in my mind and I post here on mylot. Then I go and comment on each post and in this way my day ends, hahaha. As you said I have to divide week by week. Cheers.

Hi swats! We really have to balance the time. I have this plan to devote the first two weeks entirely on myLot then the other two weeks on EC. This way I can have more time to to spent on both site. Just for the time being. Well, I also need to devote time for promotion, right? I need to promote my links.

I don't know if I could do that also. Maybe I need some preparations off line. As of now I have to divide my time between my work and my other sites as well.

HI Aries, I am not aware of any update.
I think you have spent too much time mingling around with other writers.
While that is good for a newbie, it is not good for your earning.
The two things you need to do are to write articles, and promote them.
These two things will bring in page views, and increase earnings.

I began using Experts Column around the beginning of the year. I've focused my articles on one particular niche, and I add new article whenever I can. I have around 60 articles that all get a few reads every week. I just discovered that my total number of views since I started have reached over 19000. This news made me happy, because like you I have not been diligent about writing for them. As far as the money I've earned, I made enough to get three payouts from them, and the money has been put to good use.

Hi Phil! Congratulations for the great achievement that you have with the site. Because of this I am decided to continue my activity there. Although I have very limited time I will try my best to write more quality articles for the site. By the way, do they also allowed copy paste method? I don't try it yet. I mean I will write it in word then just copy and paste it to the space provided when I log in.

Yes you can copy and paste from word, though only thing is when you do it that way you have to edit out all the Hotmail script that comes up. Also they will scrutinize anything copy and pasted to make sure it wasn't work stolen from another writer.

He he yes of course! Okay I will just do it probably if I really don't have time for typing but I will try to write directly on the space provided for this purpose. Thanks for the information. I usually do this copy paste method whenever I have to start a new discussion here in myLot because we don't have a permanent internet connection at home. This way I could save from internet fee because I just have to upload the discussion when I got to the office during break time.

Hi maria! Actually, I also noticed when I visited the site, that some of the members here are also members of that site. So I am trying to reach out to everyone of them. I must admit, it is really hard to create a discussion, like I've said in one of my discussion, I'm having a nosebleed at it. lol 
But I am very positive that with constant practice, time will come that I could make enough articles so that I could also earn a considerable amount.
