I was shocked when i saw my paypal withdrawal to my BDO savings account. There was a 200 pesos deduction probably a service charge for the withdrawal. I was like What is this? Paypal already charge me for y withdrawal and BDO also charge me and more expensive than the paypal charges huh. I used to use or withdraw funds from paypal to union bank the eon account and i have no problem using it as they never charge for extra or what so ever charges. Good thing coz next time i will never use BDO again. I work hard for that money spending time with mylot and they just took it like that grrrr

Hello Mhypie, I don't think there's a charge at all if your withdrawing from a Cyber EON CARD to Union Bank atm. it does have corresponding charges with other atms. however, if you withdraw eon card funds via teller, the deduction would be 100 pesos so better do it in ATM.

@mhypie03 better use eon in any union atm card if you don't want to be charge.

50 pesos? I can't recall they charge me in transferring funds fro paypal to eon account, though not the savings account fro union but eon is somehow separate as its not connected to union account. Im not sure if they already have charges right now but they don't have charges before.

I was told by the BDO teller that they don't do paypal thingy when I asked. I have a BDO account and was shocked when they say I can't link my paypal account with it. I did try to link it with my BDO account still it did went through but I never tried withdrawing it. All the funds in my paypal account stays in paypal and has been there for awhile already.

Somehow BDO is still good in other things as they have a lot of ATM machine so we can withdraw funds fro their ATM without service charges though not advisable for Paypal transactions. Some members said also other bank do like BPI so probably i still use eon and will apply for new one.

Better yet remove BDO in your paypal and apply for eon then, Just based on personal experience.

No there's no annual fee with eon, the card will only expire and you need to renew or reapply for a new card it so you will just pay the card as its not connected to saving account.

Im not sure if theres an annual fee but i never been charge for it until my card expired. Though it can't be renewed as i remember talking to customer service but we can reapply again with a new card.

OH my. THat's too much. I think the best card to link with paypal is Eon card in Union Bank. They don't charge anything. I have withdrawn lots of times already and it's just Paypal who charge me for receiving the money. And yeah, you have worked hard for the money that you receive so you don't deserve to be charged that big. Anyway,

Yeah you right eon card never charge me for anything since its not connected to savings though the only time i pay for eon was the fee for the card and nothing ore or nothing less. I am planning to get eon card.

@agentGulaman i have no idea also why bank charging us if we withdraw money from paypal to our saving account and as i far as i know they can charge us if we transfer funds from savings to our paypal account. Paypal already charge us yet the bank charge more for it, how interesting.

Oh! So Paypal charges when you withdraw the money from your account? How uch do they charge? I thought that using Unionbank EON card, no other charges will apply but Paypal exchange rate will prevail. What is that charge for?

Hi thanks for posting that. I am planning to open a BDO account for my online purchases with Paypal. I will stick to my Union Bank. They only charge me 350 pesos a year and I think that is fair enough. Thank you for informing us. This will spare others from BDO overcharge.

I think it does not only apply to BDO. it also applies to all paypal transactions withdrewn from the bank, i have similar charges, even up to 300 pesos with my bpi account. but then i have always withdrawn safely from there so i always do that now.. i have not applied for an eon card... i usually do not withdraw often so it is like similar to the maintenance or fees of the eon card. =)

There's no fee for eon card even if your account is zero coz its not connected to savings account, i used my eon card and have no hidden or extra charges and whatever paypal shows the money that i will be getting for my withdrawal is totally the same when i check it in eon though that was 2 years ago since i never use paypal for online transaction as i become busy with my work.

Hello Homeshoppers, next time you better use Union Bank instead, it is still best recommended bank for every one who is into online earning. because Union bank originated from the states so that's probably why the only charged union bank is going to get from you is the annual fee for the entire year.

Yeah probably yes, though in the website you can also see in eon page that its really a perfect partner for paypal, i used it before but it was already expired if i only knew they i just supposed to used that 200 pesos charges to open a new eon card than gone just like that as if i didn't work hard for that money. I was very upset

hi,
with regard to your post, i think it is not only BDO who charges that amount. as some banks also does it. perhaps it is a standard rate imposed by banks generally. the reason why others don't because in every general rule, there is always an exemption.

Probably yes but never had it with my eon card so probably i'll just get new eon card for me since the old one was already expired, there's no maintaining balance for that card too all you have to pay is the card pay. Coz eon is actually the perfect card for paypal as also listed in their site.

Yes though i know its hard to apply for eon card as some took almost a month to get the card as maybe a lot applied for it for online transaction specially for paypal. I really recommend eon coz i used that card for 2 years before and i have no problem with extra charges from them.

Surely BDO will find ways...
To rob you, LOL.
I have the same experience with BDO regarding Paypal a year ago and only recently
a 200 fine for failing to pay my 900 bill for my credit card, this is beside the interest fee they charge.

I am feeling that banks now a days are vultures eyeing your money in their vaults.
Whenever your deposits fall from their minimum amount requires, they're prompt to penalize you monthly without even informing you and bleed your account dry.
Also have you ever experience that after years of saving your money in them, when you come for withdrawal your account is already close because they penalized you monthly because your account become dormant! and without informing you that they are already robbing you monthly with what they call as dormant fees...

Thanks for the info. Now I plan to use Paypal for only online expenses. I won't be withdrawing anytime soon due to the extra charges. It's such a waste to pay for these things. Tell me more about EON. Is it also a bank?
