Pedro Calungsod - 2nd Filipino Saint

Finally, on October 21, 2012, it will be official that Pedro Calungsod will going to be blessed as a Saint. And it really makes me proud as a Filipino! :)

Pedro Calungsod Shrine - This is the altar of Pedro Calungsod Shrine in Cebu, Philippines.
Yes, the moment we have all been waiting. Every mass we pray that all of us will be prepared with his canonization. Last Friday his 9 days novena started. I will be going to San Pebro Calungsod's shrine tomorrow to attend his novena mass since i am not sure I will be able to attend his canonization day. Proud Cebuano!

Yeah I only have the chance to know him more because of this news that is spreading all over. I am proud that there is this Filipino that sacrificed his life for God even at a very young age. He even sacrificed going abroad just to help the priest spread the word.

making Pedro Calungsod into a saint is useless. unless we follow his example by also living our lives according to God's will. So let us not only be proud but inspired!

Yes..we should all be proud of. And I am proud to say that I have been praying to him...hope that someday, I can visit his chapel in Cebu.
