Extra money at home?

If you are trying to save money at the moment then you might be thinking about what you could do in order to get a bit of extra money at home. One of the things that I would try to do would be to go around to my neighbours and tell them a list of jobs that I would be willing to do and for what price, and then let them know that they should get in touch with me if they wanted me to do any of those jobs. What type of thing would you try to do if you were trying to earn more money? Do you think that you could earn enough at home if you wanted to?

Yes, we can earn enough money If we wanted to but needs lot of dedication about work. I work for a company in a real time. Also, I freelance for some sites online when ever I have time. Initially I struggled a lot to get proper sites as we know there are so many bogus sites online. However, I am happy now I got some good sites to earn decent money now and could save some thing for future. Now I am in a position to leave my real time job and stick to freelance jobs. However, It is not possible as obviously my parents wont accept :)

These applications are little difficult to understand initially. We'l get used to it. I also work on Odesk, freelance, Elance...but I hate to bid every time and wait for call. And heck Deadlines. Better to stick to mylot..and other sites I listed.

Great idea- i do this for my interent cafe. i take fliers around with all the services i offer here. I know they have worked as some have even brought the fliers into the cafe.

It is great that you have already thought about making fliers for your services in the internet cafe, and I hope that is working well for you. My fliers were something that I decided to do when I was a student because I knew that I needed a little more money but that I didn't want to sign up for a proper job because I didn't have time for the hours. Before I knew it, I was getting lots of calls from people wanting me to do things like walk their dog, and I was certainly more than happy to do this because I needed that little bit of extra money.

Yes, it is my favorite website. I have almost joined every site which they suggested. All are genuine ones. Even I came know about Mylot through that site only. Great site. I bookmarked it long back. They give genuine reviews.

No. I am able to open this site everyday. Seems some problem with your OS. Try a different browser. Clear the cache. It may help you out.

The seasons carry jobs in and of themselves. I've discussed this before myself but I'll reiterate here.
For the fall season, there are leaves to be picked up, for the winter, snow to be shoveled, summer brings yards to be mowed, and spring breaks flowers to be planted.
Now I realize not all countries have all four seasons but even so there are still jobs to be done that either neighbors can not do, or do not have the time to do. Not to mention pet sitting or house sitting. Who better to trust then people you've lived around and know?
I myself prefer to just come on here to earn a little extra, or use sites to get amazon gift cards. That is how I make my extra money. I work as a cashier 17 hours a week and lately if I've not been doing that, I am working on cleaning here.

It is fall here at the moment, and I have to say that I had never even thought about offering to pick people's leaves up. I think that this might have to be one of the things that I add to my list because of the fact that it is something that a lot of people would not want to have to do themselves. I have only ever thought about the things that need doing all year round rather than the seasonal things, so I suppose that I have been missing out on a lot of jobs that I could have been doing, I am looking forward to having another think about the jobs now.

A pleasant day GemmaR,
With reference to your topic, well, for me here, perhaps, I will sell a pack lunch or what you call a food to go in nearby areas. Since I have a lot of neighbors who works in an office. So I am thinking, to do this as an additional way for me to earn. Aside from the earnings that I can generate from here, I could somehow help them to save time in preparing their pack lunch to bring at their offices.

This sounds as though it would be a really good thing to do. It is very cheap to make a sandwich and very expensive to buy one from the shop, so I think that if you found a price that was in the middle of the two then you would most likely be able to make a bit of a profit out of it. I have never thought of doing this before, but it seems as though it would be a very good way to make a bit of extra money, and they could drop by to your house first thing in the morning to pick their lunch up so that you wouldn't even have to worry about needing to deliver it.

That's a wonderful idea cause most of the time, there are people in our neighborhood who are always busy so they don't have much time on preparing their food, specially when packing food for their office. It is a good thing to sell some if you are a good cook and it does help a lot to generate income as well.
FOr sure, if people love your food, they will definitely buy more often than they used to... specially, most of the offices have expensive foods, so people who have thrift budget would go for the buying on cheaper ones,but healthy and delicious as well.

I have my family members as my neighbors and I could ask money for the things which I had done for them. They are my close relatives and they have a good touch me and as well as with my parents. My relatives just used to give me enough money for my needs and I don't need to work hard for getting it.

I don't think that I would ask for money from my family, because I would almost feel as though I owed them the help for the things that they would have helped me with during the course of my childhood. So it is a shame that your neighbours are family because I wouldn't be able to ask for money from them. But if you have any others who are not family then this can be a great place to start earning some money because there are lots of every day jobs that you might be willing to do that they wouldn't want to because it took too much time.

I do agree these days we need some extra earnings these days
but this is a very competitive world and working at time, have a job
in tune with your qualification and a job that suits your taste and time,
would be a bit difficult,that is my personal opinion.

A lot of people do need more money than ever before, because at the end of the day companies cannot afford to pay as much as they might have done in the past, and at the same time the prices for everything else are getting higher than ever before. It might be hard for you to find a job that is good for you depending on what you are qualified in, but the truth is that if you manage to find that perfect job for you then you are very lucky as it means that you can earn a little bit of extra money to help you through those tough times.

I dont have any real hands on skill so I would not be able to make money in my community like that . I would take some weekend promotion job if I was looking to make a little extra cash .

I don't think that anybody can say that they don't have any skills at all. The only thing that they can truly say is that they haven't managed to find their skills yet. I think that everybody has things that they are able to do, but the most important thing that you have to do is to make sure that you are trying new things all of the time because you might find that you are able to find something that you never knew you could do before, and that you're able to do for money. I found that I was good at teaching when I had never tried it before, and now people pay me to teach their children.

There are some sites out there that you can make extra money. I stick to few of them as my time is short to be spent in front of the computer.I do earn few gift cards I can use for things I need (not want)... So, if someone would like to know more about my sites, I'll share, no problem. All you'll have to do is write me a personal email as I'm not aloud to post links in here.

I like to be able to earn gift cards, because it means that you actually get to buy something for yourself rather than just having the money swallowed up like it might be if you were paid into your PayPal account. I know that all of the money that I get paid into that account just goes on my shopping and nothing else. I like it when the surveys only take a couple of minutes each time, but then the amount that I am being paid seems to rise nice and quickly so that I get a decent payment and then am able to treat myself.

Gemma, that is very good idea in generating extra income. As for me, i don't have much time to be spend doing outdoor job, so would prefer to earn extra income through online. I am trying my best to adjust my timing, so able to spend more time for my online activities. I save money by helping my hubby to cutdown our unnecessary expenses. So far so good, able to save some extra bucks through my tight budget. Have a nice weekend with your family.....

If you don't like doing outdoor jobs then that is fine, and working online is something that everybody is able to do so why not make the most of it. Helping your husband to cut back is a good thing to do because if he isn't too good at sorting his money out then it would make sense that you should help him if that's something that you're good at. I know that I always help my partner to do this as well because I have always been better at money than him so I should help him then he can help me with some other things.

If I was to find myself in a situation where I really needed to be able to make more money from home than I am making right now, then the thing that I would do is that I would get back into doing crafting again. This isn't something that pays off immediately, but it is something that I can easily do from home where I am able to make a pretty fair amount of money without really having to do a lot that is out of the ordinary for me.

I myself have some great ventures up my sleeve and being in the US there are many easy ways to make some capital that I can use and invest. How are the neighbors treating you as I am sure some have taken your services up recently(perhaps create a blog that people can review you?)

It is good that you have plenty of ideas, and I am sure that you're quite right that the US has a lot of things that you could make money by doing. My neighbours like the things that I am doing, because I am only charging a small amount of money for doing it when they would have had to pay at least double the price if they had chosen to get a proper company to do it. I think that it is good because I am able to get the chance to talk to a lot more people than I would have done normally because they come to my door to talk about the jobs that I would like to get done.

I love MyLot, because it just isn't like any of the other money making websites out there at all. One of the best things is that it is so addictive, because you can talk to people who like the same things as you and you don't even need to leave your house to be able to do this. I love the people who I have met on here, and some of them have become quite close friends to me which I think is absolutely lovely to be honest with you. I wish that I had found this website sooner, because I could have done with friends like these earlier.

I have never worked as a chat operator, but this is something that I would be more than happy to try if I had any idea of which websites would offer things like this. I do like talking to people and I would be more than willing to make a little bit of extra money talking to people. I think that it is great that so many people are finding ways that there are able to earn money on the internet, because it means that they are truly able to make their own wage rather than having to work in a demanding job like they may have done in the past.

I know for a fact that you're not allowed to post any kind of referral links on here, but I know that I don't really use that kind of website any more. I only use websites where I am able to earn at least minimum wage and hopefully a little bit more as well. There is no point in trying to earn money on the internet or at home if you would have been able to earn more by getting a job in an office or something like that. I am hoping that my money will mean that I can buy a flat at some point in the near future as I am looking forward to it.
