I lived there for 6 months 2 years ago! i went there for an academic and business English course . it was almost the best 6 months of my life :). why do i say almost? because i did not have my boy friend with me...so i had to love London by my self. I think is one of the most beautiful places , and believe me i have been in a lot of places so far.
i will not point the obvious places to visit i will try to advise you to visit some places that are not that "popular" and not everybody knows abot them.
first of all: PORTOBELLO ROAD!! AMAZING PLACE! camden town also! boro market
oh and a great place for shopping is TIKI MAX!!! they have brands 50,60,70% off because they are last seasons.

I live in England and London is my home country's capital city. I used to live in Kent and moved to Somerset in 2005. I haven't been in London since then but I am planning a day trip there in November with my disabled son and daughter. I wish to visit Kew Gardens, go on the London Eye and go on a river boat journey past Tower Bridge. I am glad you very much enjoyed it when you lived and studied in London for six months in 2010.

I've done those things and would happily do them again. Kew Gardens will be good in November because they have some lovely warm tropical smelling glass houses to visit. The London Eye is interesting to visit during the day if you want to get a view of the layout of the city, but if you want a memorable viewing then go for the night when all the lights are on.
The river boat trip is excellent and there was a guide on the one I went on and he knew his history and pointed out all the interesting and intriguing places as we sailed down the river. If you go down as far as Greenwich you can enjoy the Naval museum and have a pleasant walk around Greenwich Park. I have to add that last part because I was born there - well not in the park but I lived my first 18 years in Greenwich. Have wonderful trip, I wish I could join you.

TIKI MAX is indeed amazing! I bought a MKors trench for 40£ and in shops it was over 300!
