Have you ever felt like, when you are shunning away from spending money, unexpected expenses such as a family member gets sick, car tire blowout,a friend got a new baby and you are chosen to be the godparent, of course you have give gifts in form of money or something usable. Expenses seem to come one after another and you'll end up spending more than you ever expected.

Well, this happens with me right now.
It's my youngest son birthday and he ask for a new mobile phone for his birthday present.
Fine, we agreed there'll be no party or special event and we will buy him a new handset.
He choose a new phone worth more than 4thousand pesos (fine- we need to tighten our budget till the next payday)
Then comes my second son saying that he accidentally press the car freon while cleaning and experimenting with car parts and engine (he's a self study mechanic who always do things without proper study/education) so it needs to be re-filled (duh)
It costs more than 1 thousand pesos (ahhh, not included on the budget)
Then, today the water bill comes and needs urgent payment because it's already due.
Although I can dispute this bill with the company's negligence- Nawasa never gave us bills for two months- this is due to their cost cutting project and they removed 300 contractual employees.
So, I am having problem how to stretch the small amount left till the next payday

wow! We are on the same boat. I didn't expect that I needed to pay 2000 pesos for my Lot plan to be able to get a fencing permit. Good thing my friend who is also an engineer, made the fence plan for me at no cost. But I have to produce six copies of lot plan.

Belle, it is usual for my family to spend some extra expenses almost every month since there are always unexpected event coming up. For example, recently my son falls ill, having flu and coughing that he had to went to visit the doctor twice. Last week, i had bought some gifts for my relatives, since some of my cousins are celebrating their birthdays in last month. All these are unexpected expenses.

Yes this has happened to me a lot, too. At times I'd be happy that I've managed to keep a budget for my expenses but there are certainly things that are unexpected like additional school payments and bills that aren't fully paid yet It's just discouraging because I won't be able to save up for other things if this just keeps happening. I'd want to have a good job someday and hope that I'll be able to establish a small business too to keep this from happening.

Yes I am feeling like that at the moment. I am single and believe although I do not have a family life is tough when it comes to spending money. Lately these past few months I have been spending more cash that I usually earn. My savings account balance is slowly decreasing and I can stop it. I have got a lot of things that I have to buy and they are important. When i think about Christmas which is just around the corner it gives me a headache.

That seems to happen regularly, and usually just when I decide I want to save money for something or other. I've learned to keep an emergency fund that I can get to for unexpected expenses like illness or repairs or other things. It really helps, but you have to be careful what is designated "emergency" or the fund won't have time to grow enough to be useful.

You know the saying--"when it rains it pours".
Boy does it! Seems once one thing goes wrong, then it's something else....or like you say, you need to buy an unexpected gift.
"money sucks" is my saying because no matter what, there is never enough of it!

I hear ya. We have been jumping through hoops to get a disaster loan and it has been costing us a lot of money to do it. Add the kids and animals and something just always seems to come up/

It happens to me all the time and I had quite a bit in savings until Randy lost his job a year ago September and we had no choice but to spend all that money. I am hoping that between selling my crafts and selling Avon I am hoping that I can make some money so I can build up my savings account again. I have not been able to find work and now that randy is not allowed to work it has been even harder. randy has several doctor's appointments that he is unable to work and social security does not pay that much (just enough for the rent and very little left over for gas and car insurance). My brother lives with us and pays all the bills (gas, electric, water, TV, internet and phone) which is a big help.

Yes, it did happen to me many times. I am expecting money and that I can save much this time but then again bills and unexpected expenses come and I end up spending none. Haha. That's why budgeting don't really works for me. I just divide the money we are earning so I can save even a little every time.

Oh, yes! I mean, expenses pile up sometimes and your means of paying them just seem to be not meeting the amount that you need. That sometimes gives me this bad feeling that I sometimes end up being hot-headed and irritated.

Yeah I also experienced it wherein I need to spend more than the allotted budget I have.We really have to save some money in case scenario like this happened so that we don't to think where to get extra money to use.

Oh I do notice that a lot! The more I try to save, the more I find myself spending and getting tempted to eat out. I said there must be something in my subconscious thinking that's producing this kind of problem. So I just try not to think too much about how I might be running out of money and focus on abundance, that it won't really take a long time for me to get money again because I work hard.

It always happens to me. I have a closely made budget where (I think) every noramal household expenses has a place. Yet every month there is a little or not so little something that hadn`t been accounted for. I was not counting last month on some extra medical tests. It came all fine, so I should be glad. But those were not covered by my medical insurance. And so my dental care has been put off for a longer time than I would wish.

Yes I had experienced it for several times already. I was even approached by my friend to act as sponsor for her daughter's wedding in December but I decline since I have a trip on that date. It would have been another incident for expenses that are not on my regular budget.

That's what i feel nowadays. I can relate here. Even how focused I am in saving, or simply have a temperate spending or observing a holiday, expenses is always on the way. My salary will just slipped into my hands, as if I have this feeling every time I have money. Is really money meant for spending? I hope I can save more money to cover future expenses. I hope I can plan for those spendings. Thanks

Same here mikyung. I am trying to save a dime or two from my loose change everyday. My piggy bank is half way full. I know this is not much but it feels good to see that I have a few savings in my piggy bank hihi

Yes I am experiencing this a lot of times too.
It's just spoils the planning especially when you've set you're mind to whichever your expected salaries should be allotted and expecting for savings.
Only to realize you really can't expect it would work that way.
My usual unexpected expenses this season are : emergency medical check ups, urgent operation of relatives, a friend in need of cash, an occasion to attend which I just found our recently which is out of town.
Situations like this means, I won't have my part of savings for this month and should be tight on spending next month :( aw!
