An American lady lives in a house and inside it she has a store where she puts all of her shopping. She doesn't have a job so she has limited money. She asks friends, neighbors and family members to give her magazines and newspapers. She goes through those and cuts out any coupons and vouchers. She was able to go shopping to the value of around $900 and pay for all or the vast majority of it with all her coupons and vouchers. If I ever get a money off coupons or vouchers they aren't worth all that much. I compare the price of my shopping on an Internet site called My Supermarket. Then I go to the cheaper supermarket to do my food shopping. The next day I compare the price of my goods that I bought on the My Supermarket website. It is isn't 10 percent cheaper I get a money off voucher. I can use this voucher on my shopping the next time I go shopping there. Do you save coupons and vouchers? How do you save on your supermarket shopping? Do you like buy one get one free deals so take advantage of them? Have you seen a funny sign? I did today it said buy one for a pound or three for three pounds. I found that ever so funny.

We get store cards and the coupons are taken off. Not good at answering inquiries. Now here in Canada, we cannot have a negative balance, so we can only go to paying off the whole amount in coupons. We can so much off of a particular product, but supposing the coupons make the whole amount equal to a credit of $50.--- we will only get credit for the amount that equals zero dollars and that is all. I do save coupons, but only use it for the products I buy and I do look at the store brands, and decide to buy them on quality, not on cheapness. So if the store brand soup contains more salt then a popular brand, then I will go with the popular brand. I stock up on bulk products. Never saw anything funny at the supermarket. WAs too busy shopping.

Coupons and vouchers not more common in our country. It happens only if the supermarket or groceries store approaches on their anniversaries or some festivities going to celebrate in a particular area. It will help to a shoppers but not that much.

Hi maximax8, no matter what difficulty facing, there is always a way for one to solve it. All this depends on weather the person really makes the best of it to resolve. I appreciate the courage of that poor lady doing so to earn her living. Hopefully she would get a job soon. Yeah, I like coupons and vouchers that the hypermarket sends to me regularly. There are always kept in my handbag, so that I don't miss to use them whenever doing my shopping. I would purchase with the vouchers on items that are practically. I would give the others to friends who need them. I like the voucher most as the amount paying can deduct from the voucher straight away Customer will get one reward point with every RM2 purchase. Therefore it's worth to shop in this hypermarket than other shopping markets for I can earn reward points with the same stuff and same price here Have a nice day!

That's pretty cool. Coupons do save you much money on many occasions. I save coupons and vouchers, but just sometimes. For most of the time, I prefer to go shopping online instead of going to the mall. Goods sold online are much cheaper than in reality and that helps you save up.

I wish we had coupons in Denmark. If we had them I would definately use them, because I think that it would be a nice way to save some money. We can save money on visits to museums or other sights in Denmark if we are members of a certain association and one of my friends is a member and he is able to visit many museums for free, but coupons for grocery shopping don't exist here. On my island we have a couple of different supermarkets and I like to visit the cheap ones. They are much cheaper than the others and since we don't have coupons that is the only way that we are able to save money. I saw one sign in a shoe store that I found quite funny, but it is only funny in Danish. On the sign it said "If you don't like our high heels you can buy flat ones instead" but in Danish the expression also means "if you don't like our high heels we will slap you"

An admirable shrewd lady, good luck to her! I get coupons for Tescos they are very convenient because most of the coupons are for stuff I usually buy, they take into account what you usually buy and give you coupons relating to the goods. The best money off coupon I like is 5p off a litre of petrol, To fill my tank of my car it costs me £60! So you can imagine the savings I get. Trouble is they don't do it that often mores the pity. I did get a pound voucher from Poundland if I spend £10 which was neat because I am always in there buying stuff, so spending £10 was easy. In the Mirror sometimes they have vouchers for goods in Gregs Bakery and I have taken advantage of those. Mum likes to collect the WHSmith vouchers for lego toys to give to her nephews and neices.

I use coupons, I don't abuse them. I know that most people use the to save money and that's smart. Groceries cost a lot and have been going up in price for years but coupons stay the same. You can save lots of money by using them and if people took advantage of them they could cut a lot of money off their food budget. I like to get offers of a buy one get one free but I won't knock somebody out of the way just to get a good deal.

I do use coupons i am going to start trying more to use coupons. I try to get coupons from my boyfriends mom and then my mom as well. I think its so important to use the coupons to save money on items. I also try to get the buy one get one free items and use coupons when i see those items as well. Saving money is so important i believe. I didnt even know about the website my supermarket i will have to look at it and see what is does. Hopefully i can use it and it will work to my ability because that would be really nice to use of course with all the other coupons as wel.

That sign was funny, Maxine, and I`m sure they`ll replace it soon. We don`t have many coupons here. I will add "yet" as we are culturally colonised by the US so that it will come as we have Mc Donalds, Kentucky Fried chicken and Pizzahut. One of our big supermarket chains was recently sold to Walmarts so I`m sure coupons are bound to come to my country.

When I am able to find coupons for items that I would be buying anyway, there is no reason at all that I shouldn't be using coupons. I mean all that is is money in my pocket ultimately. However, when I see that there are coupons for things that I wouldn't ordinarily buy and they wouldn't end up being free, there is no reason that I should be using those coupons. I've seen that there are many people that will stockpile their purchases, but this is something that I personally would never be able to do. The reason that I couldn't do it is because I simply don't have the space and I can't justify that kind of shopping all at once.

I know a few people in the usa who trade coupons online. They always buy almost everything with a coupon. Its a big thing in the usa. Some stores even give you double or triple the amount of a c/os. So its well worth clipping them.
