I had gone in Bacolod, Negros Occidental to witness their Masskara Festival. It was indeed amusing to see colorful masskaras all around, different creative floats during parades, and many other thing. I had really so much fun time. We drank also in the busy street of Negros Occidental. I had saw many cosplayers also during the parade. Additionally, there are many nicely designed colorful giant puppets. Aren't they great? I had took also many fantastic pictures! It is really truly fun!

That is another festival I didn't know about. That's why it is so good to interact with people from around the globe, you get to learn and open your mind.
I searhed for it and saw some pictures. The masks and costumes are great.
Thanks for sharing. You could upload some pictures too.

Yes! This is truly one of a kind. I really love the happenings during the festival. That was a cool break from school. Somewhat a stress reliever from school. :)

Indeed i have heard of the Maskarra Festival in Bacolod. But i haven't seen it personally yet, although i have seen it on TV though.
During those festivals, once cannot help being so happy too, because everyone seems to be in a festive mood.
Maybe you should post some pictures here, friend?

I hoped so but I got the pictures on large files. I would really love to share the pictures. I will try to first convert it in small file for easy downloading.

Have been to Bacolod twice but I, unfortunately, have not ever scheduled my travels to coincide with the Maskara festival. Instead, I went on a food-tripping spree. Going from one restaurant, bistro, cafe, canteen, cafeteria, or bar after another. I was delighted to find out how food over there are not only delicious but also inexpensive. I think I shall plan my next trip around the festival, just to experience it myself and see how really enjoyable everybody says it is.

I am a Filipina and I am now trying to travel different places in the Philippines. I have been to different places but never been to Negros Occidental. I saw pictures of the festival before and they look interesting. I hope someday I can personally go there to visit and I hope it is in time for the festival.
