Tomorrow will change my looks again.

Me in 2009 - The first time I cut my hair right off.

Back in May 2009, I drove to New York to have my hair cut. I cut it off to make money that I really needed. Yesterday, I was looking through wanted ads and came across one where the person was looking to buy hair for a charity. I responded to the ad, not expecting anything to come of it, but he responded to me. We conversed a bit, and have agreed to meet up tomorrow to have my hair cut off again. It took over 3 years to get my hair from what you see in the picture below, to what it is today. It is now partway down my back. It looks like I'm going bald tomorrow, not really the right time of year to do this, but for what I'm getting for it, it will be worth it. I'm not doing this for the money, the hair will be going to charity to help make a wig, so that's what I'm in it for. That's what I've always wanted to do with my hair, and now I can do this.

hi kris wow that was really wonderful of you to do that in 2009 and again now. I imagine the wigs will be used by women who have lost hair due to chemo for cancer. thats really wonderful of you to do this. many kudos to you and blessing too. I don't know if I would have the guts to get all my hair cut off that short but i am sure its worth it both to you and to women needing wigs.too.

Yes it probably is for the best. I've had hair down to my lower back and I cut it all off for charity and I wasn't paid for it either. That was about 3-4 months ago, now my hair is half way down my back. I plan on cutting it again even though my face doesn't fit short hair. Oh well it's for a good cause! At least you get paid for doing it!

I have terrible hair, breaks and all kinds of different lengths. But I'm getting ready to cut it short (NOT THAT SHORT) - yes, I live in Texas so that's a bit different than Canada, but this way I can have it down on my neck in the winter and it will have grown out long enough to put up when it warms up again.

Yes it will be cold, but I do have a nice warm hat, so I'm not too worried about that. And I've just washed it for the very last time, it will be another few years before it grows back again, but it will be fine with me.

Hi! I don't think I would ever cut my hair so short because I had a bad experience when I was a child. When I was around 5 years old, I had long hair and I was a really cute girl (my mum says that, and I've seen some pics from that time). My father decided that I should cut my hair short and I ended up having the same short hair with my brother! Then, my friends at school were making fun saying that I was a boy, so I've never cut my hair short again! It's good that you can handle them, although you will probably feel cold in the winter! Since it is for a good cause and you have taken your decision, you have our support!

My wife says she had long beautiful hair as a teenager. She wishes she could say she donated it but the truth is she lost it by accident. She was going to burn some leaves and anointed her pile with lighter fluid or something. The fireball burned more than the leaves. I think hers ended up even shorter than you had in 2009. She never was able to grow it back like that again. I convinced her she would look cute with a shorter do. My daughter has a gorgeous head of hair almost down to her butt. I did tell her that if she decided to donate it for wigs I would support that decision. She absolutely doesn't want to.

It is really a nice idea to be conscious on how we look. My wife is also planning to have her hair cut after a year or two. I'm glad she ask for permission becasue I really love her hair that long. But I understand that she really want to have a new look. Nice to hear that those hair will be given to something worthwhile. Niceo ne there. Thanks
