It is because they think religion will saved them. The truth is religion will not saved them, but people will be saved through God alone though we have different concept of God in society.

Hi jhovarie, It is because religion indoctrinates their followers. In most cases they are always being reminded that they alone are right. Now there are some religions who respect the teachings of others and teach that there can be different ways. Religion is a big thing to many people, so it's no wonder that with so many religions claiming to be the only true one, that the world is in the mess that it's in today.Perhaps we would be better off without religion.
