I'm not usually that much of a coffee drinker, but this morning I was drinking coffee with my husband and sister-in-law. My husband is an avid coffee drinker, so he just made a pot of coffee and asked me if I wanted some. I was starting to get a headache and sometimes I can have severe headaches, so I was in the mood for coffee. Then we started having a discussion on how he knew some truck drivers that when they got headaches they would drink coffee and their headaches would go away. I got to thinking when it's cold weather I like to drink coffee more and I also realized when I do drink coffee and then don't drink coffee if I get a headache I will drink coffee and my headache will go away. So, I decide to do some research to see if drinking coffee really did help headaches. This is what I found http://www.livestrong.com/article/517133-does-drinking-black-coffee-relieve-headaches/. It's nice to know that there is medical proof to what I was experiencing. Have you ever had any experiences with any illnesses and then found out later things you did to help get rid or prevent were actually medically approved? Gee, I feel so smart!

I am also a big fan of coffee. But started to take it a little slow coz about 2 months ago, I felt some palpitations. I got scared. I didn't want to get sick and wouldn't want to go to a doctor to have a check up. Yes, that could be a stupid idea of not knowing what really was causing the palpitations. But then I thought of quitting coffee for a week. And guess what? Me drinking coffee of about 2 cups in a day was the cause of my palpitations. Also to confirm that, I researched on it. So now, I just take a cup of coffee a day. I couldn't last a day without drinking a cup.

Thanks, STOUTjodee! I was really glad it was just of the coffee. I didn't want to be visiting the ER again as I have been during the first quarter of last year. I came in for different reasons and was actually hospitalized due to moderate to severe dehydration.

Have you knew that drinking coffee will add up additional years of your life. I watched TV last week and it was featured by one of the Anchor. I love to drink coffee specially when you mix it with a creamier. I can finish 4 to 5 cups of coffee everyday

Yes it exactly right. People will always look to the disadvantage rather than the advantages. Lot of individuals don't drink coffee because they think they can't sleep

Yes, I've known about this and isn't it fascinating? Who would have thought that caffeine would do this. I did know it's in pain relievers such as Excedrin, etc. When I quit drinking full strenght coffee and started drinking more half and half I did get a headache from the lack of caffeine, but only for a couple of days. Then eventually I stopped drinking that and went to de-caff and experienced the same headache and feeling of blah...that has passed and I feel the same right now as if I drank regular coffee. What a strange addiction it is.
