I went home earlier the other day from myplace of assignment because I still have to dropped by at the provincial office to pick up my travel order to yesterday's review class. I was able to leave the province at 5:30pm and waited for the van at the nearest station. The van run in a normal speed so I already sent a message to my husband to pick me up at mcdonalds after an hour. I was confident that I will have a safe and smooth travel home.
But after running for several kilometers, the van suddenly stopped! We have noticed that there is a long queue of vehicles in front of us. We have also seen policemen who are in a hurry to facilitate the traffic. We don't know the reason for such traffic so everybody inside the van were asking. We were moving little at a time. After a few more moves, we already seen the reason for the heavy traffic. New materials needed to support the bridge which was under construction for almost a year now, were just delivered. The materials were so huge that the big vehicles could not pass through the bridge causing heavy traffic. It is just lucky that the van is a smaller vehicle so we were able to pass through after almost two hours. I am also thankful that the cause for such traffic is not an accident which we thought it was.
At last we were able to continue with our trip and I reached home safely.
Do you also experienced being stranded in a heavy traffic for a long time?
Have a nice day everyone?

Hi there...
I have experienced being stranded in RORO (a car ferry) when upon arriving at the port, the ramp could not be put down down. They said that the machine to operate it was damaged. It took us 1 hour there and was able to go home when the boats arrive. We passed through the small side door of RORO, going to the boat using the boats bridge. Oh, it was scary.
Good thing there's no accident when you were stranded.
Stay safe.

I was not able to ride in that particular form of transportation. It's good to know that you were able to reach your destination safely. Riding in a boat is already a scary thing for me.
Thank you for sharing!

I have experienced being stranded for several times too. The latest was when I went to Lucena City last Saturday. We were stranded near the POEA Ortigas and the cause of that was our driver was apprehended by the MMDA Officers. I don't know what was the violation done by the driver but we were there for about 30 minutes more or less. I didn't bother to see what was happening as I was talking with my cousin/companion at that time. We just waited for the bus to proceed.

Hi pahak! The way I see it, most of us are experiencing the same thing from time to time. It's a part of life and we must be patient enough.

Mine was about more than three hours of trip which only takes 45 mins to an hour. It happened few months ago during Habagat. Most of the alternative routes going to work are closed due to floods that time. So, just one road was possible that time to all vehicles going to the city where most of the people work. Luckily that my company was quite considerate that time, they dont deducted any late in my payroll because they understand the situation.

Yes, being on the road most of the time, we really encounter these kind of unpleasant incidents. I just hope that the bridge is already done when I return on the place after the holiday.

I have, here in Mexico city traffic is like New york. It can take 2 hours to travel 5 miles here. Even in bus and taxi that have special lanes. Thats why I stay home. Have a great weekend there.

Most people who are traveling on a daily basis would more or less experience the same thing already. There are times I would think that if I only have enough fund to start my own business in my own place, I would not be doing this thing anymore. Spent most of my time traveling.

Yes, it's just good that it was not. That was the first time that I encountered such thing which made me think that the province where I am working at present has only one way in and out. There is no alternative route and this thing I am sure will create much trouble in the future.
Anyway, thanks God everything is okay. Thank you for sharing!

Traffic is already part of my life since I started working since 2007. I worked as a call center agent and my shift starts at 9 in the evening.Since I would have to ride three times, I left our house around 6:30 or sometimes 7:00(that's the late time). Unfortunately, this is really a rush because this is the time were the employees who work in the morning go home. this is also were the student going home from school. This is already part of my habit, especially this time, it is raining because of typhoon so it adds to the traffic. Sometimes I wait for around 20 to 30 minutes.I can't be late in our office because I will given a memorandum even I am just late for 5 minutes, that is how strict our company is. so as much as possible. I try to come on time.

Hi rberon! Yes, I experience living in the city and that is what I can't stand, the traffic and the pollution. I remember I was able to find a job there several years ago, but I was not able to start because I got sick with just one week on staying there. So I decided to come back to the province.
But my sister is living on the city and she is really enjoying it there. She can drive on the widest road there and she drives like an expert. She is also working in a call center. We also visited the place for a vacation but not really staying for long.
Thanks for sharing!
