I wish the storm would pass

At least for one day. Does our Weather understands that we are nearing the all saints day? we will eventually get busy as time goes by. most specially when Oct.31 strucks in! which is btw my Grandpa's bday and the person that we yearly visit. What a wrong timing indeed, most specially to the people who wanted to go home via ferry's because they got delayed fearing they might get caught up by the storm. Right now, I haven't even tested the new tent that they bought as something i would be using this coming Nov.1.

hi lk! does the weather understand? i'm sure it doesn't. hehe i know it sucks. there was 2 days worth of continuous heavy rain in our province and electricity was coming and going for the most part. the wind was blowing so hard, the rain looked as if dancing or creating waves in the air. while i was trying to get home, a few moments to get into the bus was all it took to get me drenched. many staff from the company i've been hired to do some work with this past 2 weeks, were stranded going to their respective provinces for the long weekend. ferries going to masbate and mindoro (where they were going) were cancelled. good thing the rain let up today. i do hope that the weather wouldn't be as bad in the next few days as many people are sure to go home for nov 1-2.

Hello myles, the only advantage for me in this rain is that i don't have to water my plants since the rain is gonna do its job. lessens my use of water in the house. remember to have umbrellas and jackets that are not too big so that when a strong rain comes you can protect yourself from getting wet.

That would be the big problem of almost all Filipinos if the bad weather won't leave our country until all saints day pass. People will be stranded from different ports and can no longer visit the tomb on their loveones. Hope no flood will happen again

It is a late response but base on my experience, that day was so bright and shiny. There was no flood in our area.

Hello Julyteen, There's no way i can lay a rug in a very wet grass near the tomb. so i got no choice but to use a small chair to keep myself from getting wet. yeah, those people who are in the flood zone are no doubt stranded from going home because the public utility vehicles cannot get inside the flooded water roads

Yes, that would be a real problem for those who need to travel to get to their loved ones tombs. I hope the weather would be perfectly fine this coming Holidays. Have a safe evening to both of you.

I think the typhoon is on its way out of our country. The skies are clearer and the rain has stooped for now. Hopefully next week we'll have better whether. Although I don't have to take the ferry or ship or airplane to go to our province it will still be such an inconvenience if we'll have a weather like these past couple of days. It will be muddy in the cemetery and on my father's tomb there is no shelter yet, and it's going to be impossible to light a candle. But of course even if that happens it will not stop us Filipinos from going to our visit our loved ones who have departed and honor them.

Hello silentwill, well the strong storm was all out pouring rains here last night which i didn't mind because it was cold and i had a great time sleeping. well, indeed it will be wet and muddy that i might require myself to use rubber shoes and sandals at the same time. i might as well use a lot of news papers on this one

When I got out tonight it's hot and the storm has totally passed and majority of the floods have subsided. Hopefully we get a good weather in the next couple of days. A few days of sunshine will be enough for the mud to dry.

I am so thankful that the storm is finally over and that it is already away from the Philippines Area of Responsibilities. I am so thankful that nothing happened in my hometown Tacloban City...we only experienced flooding, but it is just normal...

Hi, What storm? We were signal number two here and I can hardly feel the breeze. Right now, is already blistering hot once again, no rain in sight, clear blue skies, parched soil and wilting plants. I wonder why some areas get a lot of it while we hardly felt a breath of air here. Well, who's fortunate and who's not, what is preferable, rain or no rain? Just asking, I like it both ways.

Hello rog0322, that's good to know but maybe because of the strong winds there. am sure if it's not gonna rain now, it could be later. i prefer a normal drop of rain. rather than the strong winds and rain at the same time.

...really a bad timing. We even canceled our shopping day today because of the strong rain yesterday BUT looking at the weather today, it seems good. And our shopping day was canceled. Really, that weather is so selfish.

Hello adnileb, yeah a bad day bad weather. i remember two years ago when I created an improvised tent, my mom commented that we literally looked like a squatter in the cemetery. so, out of pity she decided to buy another tent. but it was way too big, so last month she decided to buy another one which is a bit smaller, but i haven't tested it yet.

Haha! So your mom has bought a tent every year. Hope that she bought the right one this year. Better try it out early so you know what to expect. All saints' day is just 6 days away.

I really think weather is becoming better as the Nov 1 is nearing. I just hope there is no storm brewing nearby again since that will really ruin the celebrations if the place is hit with a storm.

Weather and typhoon is really unpredictable, they come in unexpected time. But we should remember that it is already "BER" months, so typhoons are expected to come especially November. I am so sad because I can't contact my family in our province. I saw some picture there and the water level is really high. I really hope that they are just fine. This is the first time that it happens in our area.Maybe this is because of the illegal loggers in our area. I hope they would be punish if something happen to the people of that community.

Hello rberon1985, they are unpredictable but i wish they won't show up on the date of November 5 because we are truly busy in the cemeteries. It's sad that there are even illegal loggers there that only cares about money. better have them report it to the media. i hope they will be punish for every thing they have done to destroy nature.

Its not really nice to go out specially spending time with our departed family with those heavy rain knowing that there's a lot of people will go there to also visit their departed love one. Though lets just hope that the sun will shine the entire day by then.

The worst we could have here is that the cemetery in our town where my grandma and aunt were lying is usually flooded when the rains are heavy. It is so hard to visit in there when there's flood all over. We're awake last night and at the second floor of our house and I could really feel the heavy rains. But when I woke up this morning, the sky is clear and I think that the storm has passed already. I hope there would be no more storm for this year as I am worried to those living along the lake. They can't even go back to their houses, I saw their cars parked on the streets. After the heavy rains last night, I am sure that the floods are high again.

Hello Paper_Doll, Just no more storm during the event of the All Saints day because it's gonna cost problems to us if we hang there all day. i might think about going there starting this saturday to check if there is something i need to do in order to fix the tomb problem or put some ropes there.

hi, when i was in the province there were times that it will rain usually in the afternoon but very shortly only, and i was glad because during November 1 was a sunny day so we went to the falls before we went to the cemetery.

Yeah typhoon or rain is always wrong timing when November 1 is coming. I hate it cause it is quite difficult to used umbrella going to the cementery due to lots of people coming in and out. The fact also that our cementery where we are going is quite muddy when it is raining that could result to laziness to go there but we are still going there to give respect to our love ones. Hope that Opel will leave the country as soon as possible.

Hello ardoy, the only good about this rain is that it watered my plants. it's quite difficult to move the tents around because of the storms wind. yeah, i bet people will be lazy to pay a visit to their loved ones until the storm have subsided. we are going to celebrate the all saints day and i hope things will settle down when it comes to weather.

That makes two of us. Hopefully this good weather this morning will prevail until the weekend. I don't wanna waste another day in the house when there's a lot of stuff to do and errands to run. Plus, I would rather be out in a sunny weather, it can be easily remedied, than a stormy weather.

Hello Raine38, I don't mind having a strong rain any day but not so close to all saints day because there's obviously a lot of people who will need to have tents there. not to mention cleaning up the tomb. reminds me to go there before the all saints day itself because i will have to make sure that no ones stepping on our grandpa's grave because of their tents

That's what I'm hoping and praying too. I hope typhoons would get tired just like us when we kept on doing things over and over gain... I hope they would visit us for ever so that we won't lost lives, lost living. Whenever a typhoon passed by... it won't leave without destroying crops and other food source we have. It also breaks down roads and bridges... ahhh. that is one reason that I'm scared to go to Baguio city again because it was said that the road going there is too risky. mmhhp! I hope all filipino's will indeed enjoy's its long weekend.

Hello Leeandrew, well it is the weather and there's nothing we can do but to avoid getting sick and have umbrellas, or jackets to keep ourselves from getting wet. i think roads that are built in steel and cement would take time to break. because the aspalt doesn't work much if there's too many rainy seasons coming over. I've witness the roads having pot holes because of this.

Didn't it pass already. There wasn't any strong rain today, only a few minutes drizzling a few hours ago. and that was it. I hope it won't rain this week since it is the time to visit our beloved ones that are now in heaven..

Weather can be so rude some times. It really doesn't act well for our schedules at times. I hope you can still enjoy the festivities of halloween even though the weather is not breaking for it.
