It is a wrong notion of not taking a bath right away, after ironing the clothes. There is no basis for this, sometimes they will say, it might cause muscle spasm. It is possible but not due to taking a bath, rather the real cause is muscle fatigue.

if you are talking about "pasma", i don't think there's any scientific basis. and it is not even recognized anywhere else. that's there was a joke before that there is no english term for it.
anyway, as 3honor mentioned, there maybe an effect in the sudden change of temperature. though i think there is something else. it's a different feeling just after ironing. and i for one would cool off for a few minutes before even washing my hand. some say there are no effects, but you should know by experience that there is.

This is something I have never heard of! I can't imagine the thinking behind that - I can't think of any logical explanation of why that should be - really bizarre!

Is Ironing on the headline referring to ironing of clothes? If yes, then it is logical and nothing else. When you iron the clothes, you get to stand by the heat emitted by the hot iron and even the emission from the clothes. That leads to sweat for some.
Again, after a bath you are more in a hurry to get ready and move out maybe to work or even on a date or for whatever reason. Now, amidst all this if you had to iron... might not go good with your fresh start.

scientific reason ? i dont think there is any, we do follow the pattern because ,it will be easy for us , we can wear the dress immediately after bath. Other wise we have to iron/press after bath which tends to sweat our body and then whats the use of bath.
