In the grand scheme of things, what is most important to you in your life?

Everyone has a different opinion of this question, with varying answers. What is the most important thing in your life? Is there just one thing, or many? And what order do your prioritise them? I believe I would have to say Family and God. I love both, believe in both and try to always put both first. Of course my career, my integrity, and my reputation are important as well.

The most important thing in my life is that which gives me peace of mind, so it is my relationship with God. The second is my husband and the third my children. I find my identity as a child of God and my goal is to please Him. Of course I fall short of this so it is important to me to read my Bible, learn more, pray more and interact with other Christians. In the same way I want to please my husband and be a real help to him. We spend all our time together and he is also my best friend. My children and grandchildren do not live near me but they are still a big priority to me and their happiness is my happiness. On a more hum drum basis my daily priorities are those involving the running of a home, preparing food and keeping us all clean and smart. These priorities are not going to change the world but they make my little part of it pleasant to live in.

It is true, with God comes peace of mind and if you have that, everything else seems to fall into place. It is so rare to still hear how a married couple are best friends. Marriage isn't what it used to be. People take the sanctity of marriage, and one another, for granted.

I think that there are a lot of people in the world who think about things like money when they're deciding what is the most important things in their life, but this is not the case. If you think about everything in life, then the only thing that actually matters is the fact that all of your family are well and happy. If this is the case then money doesn't matter as much. If you have money but your family aren't happy then I don't think that there would be any way that you could enjoy it as the people who were the closest to you wouldn't be happy.

This is a very general question. The most important things for me are the ones that money can't buy. Sounds cliche but it's true. Family, for one thing, cannot be bought, and is one of the things I care for. Second is friends. They also have a large part of my life and I would be crushed if they are gone.

Excellent response! I believe most people that have replied generally feel the same way...where would be all be without family and friends? I dare not even think about it. I love my family dearly and cherish my friends. I have been so blessed in both areas. And you know the old saying..."the best things in life are free!"

I feel that the most important things in my life are God and my faith and then comes having the compassion and caring to help other people. I have always been a people person and and enjoy interacting with others and helping them if I can with their problems. I have a lot of life's experiences under my belt and if I can help someone through a bad time I feel I have accomplished something.

What a wonderful thing. Compassion is something the world is short on and it's a shame. I also enjoy interacting with people and I try to listen and help when I can. As for my faith in God, it is strong and will always remain so.
