So I'm being OC tonight: Cleaning up my unresolved discussions.

Some of you may know I've been having an on/off relationship with mylot. I'd be active for a few weeks or months then completely disappear for a much longer time. Some of my hiatus lasted for years. Because of that, I have left off some discussions hanging and there they are glaring at me when I go to my unresolved discussions daring (or is it pleading?) for me to give them closure.
Tonight I decided to give in to their requests so here I open them up to find that best response that would resolve them. Mind you some of them are discussions from four years ago, and I have a feeling some if not most of the responders are no longer active.
So have any of you left some discussions unresolved for a long time then decided to go back and close them afterwards? Or is it just a waste of time to have my OC-ness get the better of me? Do you think if they are still active they'd be surprised if they received a Best Response from a discussion they may not even remember about?
These days I've become more prompt in selecting the best responses. Usually I'd give it a week of not receiving any more responses before I make my choice. But who knows maybe I'd disappear again (although I don't see that happening anytime soon. I feel like I'm currently on a roll with 18 straight days of mylot activity, hooray!) and leave again some discussions unresolved that would be waiting for my return?

Hey you are not alone leaving discussions unresolved. I am the guilty one who still have pages of discussions unresolved. This is one department thst demand my judging skill to award the br to the most deserving recipient. I admit it is not an easy task. If there is only a page of responses the job is easier but when it comes to more than twelve pages of responses then I would have to scratch my head a lot more times to come to a decision.

Wow I've never had to deal with choosing a best response from 12 pages of responses. I've never had that many responses in a single discussion.
It's true it's hard to choose one. There may be a lot of great responses to choose from. If that happens I just give the others a + for their effort.

I seldom start discussions here, so the chances of me getting that many responses are very slim. But who knows right? I'd be happy to have that many responses and will be busy commenting on them all and looking for that best response all day!

Thats a great plan. Some other members need to learn to do the same here. How was your day there?

I know some members have a lot more discussions and receive tons more responses than I do so I understand if not all will find it easy to be prompt in giving out Best Responses but it sure would be great if we can all be able to do it! How about you are able to give out the best responses to your discussions on time? When do you give them out?

hi silentwill I think a lot of us are looking at a lot of unresolved discussions but one thing I will say is that at least I have commented back on all but a few responses so now its just off to give ou t some best responses.I am on here so much J don't know why I am so behind on unresolved discussions.

Wow, it's surprising to know that people like you who are here all the time are also behind in giving out best responses! But it's treat you seldom miss commenting back on every responses, I'm trying to do that now too and only skip responses that I received that only says: "Happy Mylotting!" I had to control myself from reporting that figuring it was a newbie who will learn that responses like that will not be the key to earning much here and either improve their responses and be a better mylotter (doubtful) or leave (likely).

I have a similar relationship to you I have active periods for a while and during these active periods I tend to be really active. Then after a while I lose my inspiration to spend as much time on my lot and take a break from my lot for a while. And like you my breaks are often longer than my periods of being active on my lot. That's probably why I don't start many discussions as I may not be on the site to check on my responses. If I just respond my responsibility ends when I post my response. If I start a discussion I would feel that I needed to continue to monitor it.

I also don't start a lot of discussions which makes me feel ashamed why I left out a lot of unresolved discussions. But unlike you I like the responsibility of commenting back to each response. And I also don't think our responsibilities end whenwe have responded to another member's discussion because we may received comments that will need to be commenting back on.

Wohoo that's great news being active here straight, you know we miss you when you go AWOL again .
It even took me a year to mark BR on a few of my discussions. Like you, I am always on leave here. But of course, we all come back and we have our OC days. I think there's nothing wrong if we do it late because it really doesn't affect our earnings or anything. But I'm sure, those you've marked will be happy and will be doing great on their next responses so it will help somehow on their next responses. Also, I'm sure it will put a smile on someone when they see a notification that they were marked BR and will surely make their days

I think this streak will be a long one so you're not gonna be missing me anytime soon!
I hope they do become pleasantly surprised to get a notification that they received a best response assuming they have the notification for that set to on. And I hope they are still active and like you said be more inspired in coming up with well - thought out responses. I know I feel that way whenever I do receive a best response myself which is why I' keen on completing this task.

some days before i also make the plan like you and solved 50 unresolved discussions because my 400 discussions are unresolved. So I decided not to response on others discussion not started new but solve the unresolved discussion and select the BR. Nice think and work you are doing.

Wow that's a lot. I'm only talking here about like a dozen since I don't really start a lot of discussions. Good luck with that. Maybe you'll find it fun to re-read those old discussions you may no longer remember about like what's happening with me now.
