I feel sorry and sad

Sorry for all those who have responded on my last discussion. I came in again here after a very busy shift to comment on the responses I received only to see that it was already deleted I checked for same discussions as I did before I wrote it and I believe there were no same discussions. The thought is different but there maybe some points that are the same like responding on comments. I feel really sad, this is the first time I had a deleted discussion and now I feel like I don't want to login again after what happened I know I don't have to feel bad because rules are rules but I just can't help it

Just think that you're not the only one, you're not the first, and I'm sure won't be the last. Even though we already know the rules, sometimes we slip unintentionally and that's okay. We can always try again. Afterall, there's no limit in trying again here. I do understand that you also feel sad for those who took the time and trouble to participate in your post, but I'm sure they will also understand it. These things happen and I'm sure that they will also learn from this.

Yes, I agree. But of course, sometimes some people really "slip up", like unintentionally making a similar discussion without checking first whether it is almost a duplicate of a previous one, Or somewhere while reading the rules, it was lost in translation. Of course I am referring to those who did read the guidelines but for some reason made a discussion in good faith but it still violated a certain guideline. Besides, in their notification email, they are also reminded and given the reference link as to what they should or should not do. We have encountered some posters who obviously didn't even take the time or trouble to read the guidelines and I think it serves them right to be deleted. Anyway, what's important here I think is, if your discussion got deleted then make sure it won't happen again and be aware of the rules. Feeling bad about it for a long time isn't going to change anything. If you were able to stick to the rules and has never gotten a discussion deleted then good for you. If not, learn from that mistake and move on. I got mine deleted once, and since then I make sure I won't violate any rule again, haha!

We're only humans after all. We are not perfect and no matter how well we know the rules and guidelines by heart, we still fail to follow it somehow and unintentionally.

I think it's but normal to feel a bit sad in this situation. It's as if all your effort went down the drain, and this can somehow affect your morale. But we all know that each time we're down, there's only one way left but to go up Try not to be so affected by this. It happens even to the best of us.

Hi, Hatley. I presumed gaiza12 already has an idea why her post was deleted. She has after all 3000-plus 'points' to her name. Also, the one who responded before me already suggested that there was probably some violation in the guidelines, so I didn't repeat it anymore. My comment actually was more in response to her feeling sad and not wanting to log in anymore. Hope I somehow corrected whatever faulty conclusions you have made.

I violated the rules, but I am not sure what rule it is. All I know is I was careless and it wouldn't have happened if I was only a responsible member. The good thing is, I learned from what happened and will try to make sure I will know the guidelines by heart this time.

hi gaiza loo k instead of just startng in when you get here making discussion when you first arrived did you check out t he guidelines in there as all the rules so m ny people never look at then break them and wonder why they got their discussions deleted are there. look if you knewe all the rules not to do would you then be sure not t o break them/?of course so learn the do nots,. duplicates is only one of them, poll type discussions asking a question of all people wherever is another like do you like anchovies and if not why not? this is taking a poll. Had you made it personal like title "I looked at the anchovy and gagged" thn go on to tell your feelings on anchovies and end up by you asking your take fellow mylotters also mile stone discussions celebrating so m any points or a rising star or birthday are forbidden. making a recipe the discussion and making a game the discussion are forbidden too. go read all the do nots in the guidelines and save yo rself from making discussions that get deleted. if uou know what you are d ing you will n t break the ru es. simple e yet why do people insist on not getting the donts and j st keep breaking all the rules and moaning my discussion was deleted. the information is there but you must read it and learn the do nots.

I did read the guidelines when I came first joined mylot. In fact it took me sometime before I even started a new discussion. I even searched discussions first if there is any duplicate or something before posting my started discussion. I try my best to re-read the guidelines because sometimes, due to the busy sched and the time that I am away here, I forgot some of it at some point. I will read the guidelines once again now because I really don't like what I am feeling now. And if this discussion gets deleted, I know now what the grounds are. Thanks for clearing things up

I will take it seriously because if I don't I will surely not learn and I will still commit the same mistake again and I don't want that to ever happen again.

I think you have been here long before I have. I experienced having some of my discussions deleted. I feel a little upset but I get over it by responding to other discussions and enjoy an interesting discussion somewhere else. So don't mind it. You may have forgotten some points to avoid so that you got your last discussion deleted. You'll get over it eventually, just don't let it get to you. It's nothing personal.

We all have to move on and learn from our experience. I just can't help it but ask for forgiveness because I know your precious time here is very important to all of you.

I'll have to check out all of these rules. This isn't the first time I've heard someone talk about having a post deleted. Also the people I see talking about having discussions deleted at least come off as nice and polite. I would of thought the rules of posts are just common sense but I guess there is more to it. Interesting

You've had 80 posts already, you should have read it before you started here so you can't violate any. Please do find time to read it. It's very short and very much easy to understand.

It seems that the discussion you are referring to "Here I go again.." may have been referring to a particular member in an uncomplimentary way (I can't be sure because I can only see some of the comments you left on it). Your Notification from MyLot email will tell you why it was deleted, anyway. You ought to be aware, by now, that the Guidelines tell us not to post 'to “flame” other users! Being mean to others is just not fun. Anything derogatory that is directed at a myLot user is strictly prohibited. Just be nice and have fun!' You should not need to apologise to users if a discussion is deleted. Both you and they should KNOW the Guidelines and observe them, both when starting discussions and knowing which ones to respond to!

I have just received the email a few hours ago and it shows that it was a repeated topic. It happens, I am not perfect and I know you may have had deleted discussions yourself before when you first started here or maybe not, but most of us here do. Things like this happen for a reason and I believe if this hasn't happened to me, I would not have learned.

I see this is a month old and I hope you are feeling better about things. It happens. Ok so you had a duplicate discussion and you admt that you did not search to see if the topic was already covered. Well, all I can say is that the search does not always work so well. I did a discussion a while back and because it was something in the news, I was certain it must of already been done. I did a search and and found nothing at all. I started the discussion and got told that I would e very lucky if it did not get removed. I searched again and even using several different search words could not only not find another discussion on it..I could not even find my own even using the tags!! Don't beat yourself up over this one.You are not one to blatantly disregard the rules.

We should at least try to search but honestly, even right now I could not find that discussion using the search.Lamb found it but I can't remember his search words. The point is ...we all mess up at times. Sometimes it is our fault and others well...it is not. I know you felt bad about people losing their money but most of us don't care. It happens and it's pennies. I'm willing to bet that no one here can say that they haven't had a discussion or more removed and that includes those of us who have been here a long time and even after we've been here a long time.

Yes, I'm feeling a lot more better now. I even started a discussion about the positive effects it brought me and I was already happy then because I have learned my lesson. Thanks for sharing about the search tab, well, it might not work sometimes, but still we should have to be very careful when we start making discussions and we shouldn't be all after the earnings but we should be considerate as well for other's time and effort here and so all of us will enjoy our stay here.

I also don't start a lot of discussions but that month, I had a goal to reach payout and carelessly started discussions without even thinking a lot about the guidelines. So, now I've learned my lesson and it did something great to me as a member.

I have to say sorry for wasting somebody else's time. Even if some of you have to say it's not necessary, I still feel the need to do so. This is me and this is what I want to do. I can't message everyone who responded since I really don't have a list of it.
